Background/aim: Clinical trials have shown that the sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is feasible for patients with cN1 breast carcinoma treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study aimed to evaluate the technical outcomes of SLNB by assessing the volume of residual nodal disease.

Patients And Methods: All patients with cT1-3 cN1 breast cancer undergoing NAC from January 2018 to December 2021 were retrospectively identified from our institutional database.

Image-guided ablation is increasingly offered, and now recommended in guidelines as option to surgery.

Background: In the phase 3 ARAMIS study (NCT02200614), darolutamide significantly improved metastasis-free survival in patients with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC). Following the primary analysis, the study was unblinded, and placebo recipients were permitted to cross over to open-label darolutamide. Despite crossover, darolutamide significantly improved overall survival (OS).

Introduction: To update the European guidelines for the assessment of voice quality (VQ) in clinical practice.

Methods: Nineteen laryngologists-phoniatricians of the European Laryngological Society (ELS) and the Union of the European Phoniatricians (UEP) participated to a modified Delphi process to propose statements about subjective and objective VQ assessments. Two anonymized voting rounds determined a consensus statement to be acceptable when 80% of experts agreed with a rating of at least 3/4.

Background: Our aim was to explore the prognostic value of anthropometric parameters in a large population of patients treated with immunotherapy.

Methods: We retrospectively included 623 patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (n=318) or melanoma (n=305) treated by an immune-checkpoint-inhibitor having a pretreatment (thorax-)abdomen-pelvis CT scan. An external validation cohort of 55 patients with NSCLC was used.

Efficacy and safety outcomes of darolutamide in patients with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer with comorbidities and concomitant medications from the randomised phase 3 ARAMIS trial.

Purpose: In patients with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) in the Androgen Receptor Antagonizing Agent for Metastasis-free Survival (ARAMIS) trial, darolutamide significantly improved median metastasis-free survival by nearly 2 years and reduced the risk of death by 31% versus placebo, with a favourable safety/tolerability profile. Background: Concizumab is an anti-tissue factor pathway inhibitor monoclonal antibody designed to achieve hemostasis in all hemophilia types, with subcutaneous administration. A previous trial of concizumab (explorer4) established proof of concept in patients with hemophilia A or B with inhibitors.

Methods: We conducted the explorer7 trial to assess the safety and efficacy of concizumab in patients with hemophilia A or B with inhibitors.

The exact link between systemic and ocular endogenous corticoids (steroidome) is unclear and whether the ocular steroidome is altered in CSCR eyes is unknown. The aims of this study were to analyze the human steroidome in the aqueous humor as a function of age, sex and time of the day, to correlate systemic and ocular steroidome and to analyze the ocular steroidome in long lasting complex inactive CSCR. Based on our results, we present two CSCR cases treated by the combination of oral mineralocorticoid antagonist and glucocorticoids drops.

Hereditary transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTRv) is a rare autosomal dominant adult-onset disorder caused by point mutations in the transthyretin (TTR) gene encoding TTR, also known as prealbumin. ATTRv survival ranges from 3 to 10 years, and peripheral nervous system and heart are usually the 2 main tissues affected, although central nervous system and eye may also be involved. Because the liver is the main TTR protein secretor organ, it has been the main target of treatments developed these last years, including liver transplantation, which has been shown to significantly increase survival in a subset of patients carrying the so-called "early-onset Val30Met" TTR gene mutation.

Homologous recombination (HR) is a major pathway to repair DNA double-strand breaks (DSB). HR uses an undamaged homologous DNA sequence as a template for copying the missing information, which requires identifying a homologous sequence among megabases of DNA within the crowded nucleus. In eukaryotes, the conserved Rad51-single-stranded DNA nucleoprotein filament (NPF) performs this homology search.

A neural-mechanistic hybrid approach improving the predictive power of genome-scale metabolic models.

Constraint-based metabolic models have been used for decades to predict the phenotype of microorganisms in different environments. However, quantitative predictions are limited unless labor-intensive measurements of media uptake fluxes are performed. We show how hybrid neural-mechanistic models can serve as an architecture for machine learning providing a way to improve phenotype predictions.

Presence of Primary Care Physicians and Patients' Ability to Register: A Simulated-Patient Survey in the Paris Region.

Using the health care system fully in some countries requires patients to register with a primary care physician (PCP). Public health policies measure PCP density to maintain satisfactory local PCP supplies and limit geographic inequalities. In an exhaustive simulated-patient survey in the Paris, France region, we analyzed how well presence of PCPs was associated with patients' ability to register for care.

Evaluation of a French health action-training program by its stakeholders; healthcare students and host institution.

Background: Mandatory "sanitary service" is an inter-disciplinary health promotion program that ensures inclusion of action training in the curriculum of French students in healthcare professions. Its evaluation is important to identify areas for improvement.

Objectives: The objective was to evaluate the satisfaction of the actors with the general perception of the program and with its three different phases: e-learning, practical training, and interventions.
