High-Dose Cyproterone Acetate and Intracranial Meningioma: Impact of the Risk Minimisation Measures Implemented in France in 2018-2019.

Purpose: To measure the impact of national regulatory actions implemented in France in August 2018 and June 2019 to reduce the risk of meningioma associated with the use of cyproterone acetate (CPA).

Methods: Using the French National Healthcare database, we calculated the monthly number of CPA users among cisgender women, men and transgender women in 2010-2021, the monthly proportion of users with cerebral imaging screening, and the annual rate of meningioma surgery associated with CPA use. CPA discontinuations and switches were analysed.

Our principal objective was to study and compare the factors related to a first influenza vaccination in individuals with type 2 diabetes according to age group (<65 years and ≥ 65 years) and then to compare the older age group with diabetes to the general population of that age. Pivotal trials have fixed a maximum ICI duration of 2 years, without a compelling rationale. A shorter treatment duration has the potential to improve patients' quality of life and reduce both toxicity and cost without compromising efficacy.

The European Union's Biodiversity Strategy 2030, reinforced by the new Nature Restoration Law, targets restoring a minimum of 25,000 km of 'free-flowing rivers' by 2030. Central to this endeavor is the imperative to restore natural longitudinal and lateral connectivity of rivers and floodplains. Focused on scrutinizing data, methods, and tools employed in published studies from 2000 to 2023, our literature review reveals both encouraging developments and significant challenges at pan-European and regional scales to prioritize barriers for removal.

Optimal treatment strategies for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) are evolving with novel multimodal approaches. For well-selected patients, early local radiotherapy can play a pivotal role in high-volume mHSPC. Radiotherapy controls local disease, reduces symptoms, and may potentially delay castration resistance, warranting its consideration alongside systemic therapies in high-volume mHSPC.

Objectives: Minor salivary gland biopsy (MSGB) is a minimally invasive test used in suspected autoimmune diseases. Our study goal was to evaluate diagnostic performance of MSGB in children suspected of Sjogren's syndrome (SS).

Methods: We did a retrospective monocentric study on patients under 18 years old who had a MSGB between October 2011 and December 2021 at Bicêtre University Hospital.

Background: Platelet transfusion is considered the standard treatment for preventing or controlling severe haemorrhage in Glanzmann thrombasthenia (GT). However, platelet transfusion can have detrimental effects, including the production of anti-GPIIb/IIIa isoantibodies or anti-HLA antibodies (Ab) and platelet transfusion refractoriness. Recombinant activated factor VII (rFVIIa) has been proposed as an alternative treatment to platelet transfusion.

A dissociation between the use of implicit and explicit priors in perceptual inference.

The brain constantly uses prior knowledge of the statistics of its environment to shape perception. These statistics are often implicit (not directly observable) and learned incrementally from observation, but they can also be explicitly communicated to the observer, especially in humans. Here, we show that priors are used differently in human perceptual inference depending on whether they are explicit or implicit in the environment.

Introduction: For several years, studies have been conducted on the contribution of social robots as an intervention tool for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
