Background: Data on biosimilar use in pediatric inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are scarce compared to the status of studies in adults, resulting in limitations in its treatment. We compared effectiveness and safety of biosimilars versus originators in this population.
Methods: We used data from the French National Health Data System to identify children (less than 18 years old at treatment initiation) initiating treatment with a biosimilar or the originator infliximab or adalimumab for Crohn's disease (CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC), from first biosimilar launch (January 2015 and October 2018, respectively) to 31 December 2022.

Background: Non-face-to-face interventions offer promise, with cognitive training showing potential but inconsistent efficacy in problem gambling.
Methods: We conducted a non-face-to-face, parallel, randomized, controlled, single-blinded trial to evaluate training programs in adults with problem gambling (CPGI ≥5). Participants were randomized 1:1 to a web-based cognitive training program targeting inhibition unrelated to addiction cues or a control program on visuo-spatial functioning.

Hepatoblastoma is the most common primary liver malignancy in children, with metabolic reprogramming playing a critical role in its progression due to the liver's intrinsic metabolic functions. Enhanced glycolysis, glutaminolysis, and fatty acid synthesis have been implicated in hepatoblastoma cell proliferation and survival. In this study, we screened for altered overexpression of metabolic enzymes in hepatoblastoma tumors at tissue and single-cell levels, establishing and validating a hepatoblastoma tumor expression metabolic score using machine learning.

The emotion dysregulation and impulsivity are highly associated with alcohol use disorder (AUD). This study explored the role of impulsivity and emotion dysregulation and the interaction with adult probable ADHD on alcohol-related quality of life (QoL). In this observational trial, we analyzed data from the randomized TRAIN study, which compared efficacy of two cognitive training programs in patients AUD recently detoxified at 5 centers in France from February 2019 to February 2023, and who completed child and adult ADHD screening data (WURS + ARSR, n = 206 of 226).

Background: Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the colon. During chronic inflammation of epithelial cells, lipid metabolism via pro-inflammatory eicosanoids is known to modify the immune response.
Methods: Starting from the Mammalian Metabolic Database, the expression of metabolic enzymes was investigated in two independent cohorts from transcriptome datasets GSE38713 and GSE11223, which analyzed ulcerative colitis tissue samples from the digestive tract.

Background: Quality of life (QoL) in patients undergoing surveillance for uveal melanoma (UM) can be affected by psychological sequelae. Fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) may be acute especially when prognostication indicates an increased risk of metastatic recurrence. Communication with an ophthalmologist or oncologist can then play a key role in impacting QoL.

Purpose: Most breast biopsies are diagnosed as benign breast disease (BBD), with 1.5- to fourfold increased breast cancer (BC) risk. Apart from pathologic diagnoses of atypical hyperplasia, few factors aid in BC risk assessment of these patients.

Introduction: Trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) has been approved for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-positive locally advanced or metastatic gastric and gastroesophageal junction (HER2+ mG/GEJ) cancer since July 2022 in France, through an accelerated approval. The aim of this study was to evaluate its real-world use.
Methods: We characterized T-DXd users treated for HER2+ mG/GEJ cancer using data from the French National Health Insurance database.

Trichoderma reesei displays a high capability to produce extracellular proteins and therefore is used as a platform for the expression of heterologous genes. In a previous study, an expression cassette with the constitutive tef1 promoter and the cbh1 terminator compatible with flow cytometry analysis was developed. Independent transformants obtained by a random integration into the genome of a circular plasmid containing the expression cassette showed a wide range of fluorescence levels.

Myocarditis is the most salient serious adverse event following messenger RNA-based Covid-19 vaccines. The highest risk is observed after the second dose compared to the first, whereas the level of risk associated with more distant booster doses seems to lie in between. We aimed to assess the relation between dosing interval and the risk of myocarditis, for both the two-dose primary series and the third dose (first booster).

Background: COVID-19 vaccination has been inconsistently associated with an increased risk of heavy menstrual bleeding in previous studies. This study aimed to assess the risk of heavy menstrual bleeding requiring hospital care following COVID-19 vaccination according to the number of doses received and the time elapsed since vaccination.
Methods: Using comprehensive data of the French National Health Data System, we carried out a case-control study.

Importance: Although patients with myocarditis after COVID-19 mRNA vaccination appear to have a good prognosis near hospital discharge, their longer-term prognosis and management remain unknown.
Objective: To study the cardiovascular complications of post-COVID-19 mRNA vaccination myocarditis and other types of myocarditis during an 18-month follow-up, as well as disease management based on a study of the frequency of medical procedures and drug prescriptions.
Design, Setting, And Participants: In this cohort study based on the French National Health Data System, all individuals aged 12 to 49 years hospitalized for myocarditis in France between December 27, 2020, and June 30, 2022, were identified.

Background: Although renal damage is increasingly reported among the most undernourished patients with Anorexia Nervosa (AN), it remains underestimated in current practice, and often associated with acute dehydration. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the frequency, the extent, and the risk factors of renal involvement among adolescents and adults hospitalized in specialized units for AN.
Methods: In this multi-center study, 197 consecutive participants were included, aged 13-65, from 11 inpatient eating disorder psychiatric units.

Background: In spite of major effectiveness, a residual risk after COVID-19 primary vaccination was identified, in particular, for vulnerable individuals of advanced age or with comorbidities. Less is known about the Omicron period in people protected by a booster dose. We aimed to identify the characteristics associated with severe COVID-19 during the Omicron period in a population that had received a booster dose in France and to compare differences with the previous periods of the pandemic.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal motoneuron degenerative disease that is associated with demyelination. The () mouse exhibits motoneuron degeneration, gliosis and myelin deterioration in the cervical spinal cord. Since male s display low testosterone (T) levels in the nervous system, we investigated if T modified myelin-relative parameters in s in the absence or presence of the aromatase inhibitor, anastrozole (A).

T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is an aggressive hematological malignancy. Current treatments, based on intensive chemotherapy regimens provide overall survival rates of ∼85% in children and <50% in adults, calling the search of new therapeutic options. We previously reported that targeting the T-cell receptor (TCR) in T-ALL with anti-CD3 (αCD3) monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) enforces a molecular program akin to thymic negative selection, a major developmental checkpoint in normal T-cell development; induces leukemic cell death; and impairs leukemia progression to ultimately improve host survival.

The rate of caesarean section (CS) is increasing worldwide. Defects in uterine healing have a major gynaecological and obstetric impact (uterine rupture, caesarean scar defect, caesarean scar pregnancy, placenta accreta spectrum). The complex process of cellular uterine healing after surgery, and specifically after CS, remains poorly understood in contrast to skin wound healing.

Adolescence is a crucial period for physical and psychological development. The impact of negative life events represents a risk factor for the onset of neuropsychiatric disorders. This study aims to investigate the relationship between negative life events and structural brain connectivity, considering both graph theory and connectivity strength.
