The RNFL thickness was measured by high-definition optical coherence tomography (HD-OCT), axial length (AL) was measured by IOL Master, and corneal biomechanics including SSI, biomechanical corrected intraocular pressure (bIOP), and central corneal thickness (CCT) were measured by Corvis ST.

Real-world efficacy of belimumab in systemic lupus erythematosus: a prospective cohort from a single centre in China.

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the efficacy and safety of belimumab among Chinese patients with SLE in a real-world setting.

Methods: A prospective cohort study was performed, and SLE patients taking belimumab on a background of standard-of-care (SoC) treatment were consecutively enrolled from July 2021 to December 2022. Based on baseline characteristics, the patients were divided into three groups: the newly diagnosed group, the relapsed group and the refractory group.

Purpose: To compare the effectiveness of 577nm subthreshold micropulse laser (SML) with half-dose photodynamic therapy (Hd-PDT) for acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC).

Method: A non-inferiority clinical trial was performed with a non-inferiority margin of eight letters. Sixty-eight eyes of 68 patients with acute CSC were randomized to the Hd-PDT group or 577 nm SML group.

This objective of this study was to clarify the underlying mechanism of MSCs-Exos on cartilage repair and therapy of engineering MSCs-Exos for drug delivery in OA.

Bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) have emerged as a potential therapy for sepsis, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we investigated the effects of BMSCs on serum inflammatory cytokines in a rat model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced sepsis. Sepsis was induced by intravenous injection of LPS, followed by transplantation of BMSCs.

The emerging importance of fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23) and its co-factor Klotho play very important roles as phosphaturic hormones; however, phosphate levels rise due to a loss of renal Klotho production and the phosphaturic effects of the FGF-23/Klotho axis. Hyperphosphatemia is also associated with calciphylaxis, acceleration of renal tubulointerstitial disease, renal osteodystrophy, and uremic cardiomyopathy.

Identification of high-risk patterns of myopia in Chinese students based on four major behavioral risk factors: a latent class analysis.

Background: Myopia is prevalent in children and adolescents. Understanding the effect of multiple behaviors and their latent patterns on ocular biometric parameters may help clinicians and public health practitioners understand the behavioral risk pattern of myopia from a person-centered perspective. The purpose of this study was to identify the patterns of four major behavioral risk factors associated with myopia, including time spent outdoors, digital screen time, sleep duration, and performance of Chinese eye exercises.
