Gene therapy has emerged as a promising approach to address challenging cardiovascular diseases. Extensive efforts have been focused on developing highly efficient gene vectors with precise delivery techniques to enhance its effectiveness. In this study, we present multifunctional dopamine-gelatin microneedle patches with gene therapy capabilities to achieve perivascular gene delivery for intimal hyperplasia treatment.

[Effect of intravenous tranexamic acid on postoperative drainage and elbow joint function after traumatic elbow stiffness release].

Objective: To explore the effect of intravenous tranexamic acid on postoperative drainage and elbow joint function after traumatic elbow stiffness release.

Methods: The clinical data of 44 patients with elbow joint stiffness who were treated with release surgery between March 2022 and December 2023 and met the selection criteria were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 20 patients were given intravenous infusion of 100 mL (1 g/100 mL, once a day) of tranexamic acid solution for 3 consecutive days after surgery (group A), and 24 patients were not treated with tranexamic acid after surgery (group B).

Methods: This trial included 30 singleton primiparous women undergoing scheduled caesarean delivery, who were recruited to determine doses of epidural hydromorphone using the modified Dixon sequential method.

Here, we show that the Rab-GTPase activating protein AS160 is a lipid-responsive regulator of Ca homeostasis through governing lysophosphatidylinositol metabolism and signaling.

We presented a case of a middle-aged female presenting with a mass on the right chest wall. Respiratory specialists were unfamiliar with the condition and were unable to make a definitive diagnosis.

However, this work has faced criticism for selective data presentation, leading to inaccurate interpretation. This review revisits and validates Lassen's original plot using contemporary data published since 2000.

Methods: The gene expression level and survival and prognosis information of PTC were obtained from TCGA. The differentially expressed pyroptosis-related genes (DEPs) between cancer and control groups were selected, followed by subtype analysis.

Objective: Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) contribute to the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), in part due to promoting the survival of plasma cells. FoxO1 expression in monocytic MDSCs (M-MDSCs) exhibits a negative correlation with the SLE Disease Activity Index score. This study aimed to investigate the hypothesis that M-MDSC-specific FoxO1 deficiency enhances aberrant B cell function in aggressive SLE.

Combined Predictors for the Diagnostic Transition from Acute and Transient Psychotic Disorder to Schizophrenia: A Retrospective Study.

Purpose: Acute and transient psychotic disorder (ATPD), a psychosis frequently diagnosed, can potentially evolve into chronic conditions like schizophrenia (SCZ) and other mental disorders. This study aimed to develop a predictive model based on clinical data to forecast the transition from ATPD to SCZ and to identify the predictive factors.

Methods: According to the diagnostic criteria issued by the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems 10th Revision (ICD-10), 396 inpatients diagnosed with ATPD were collected in this study.
