Background: The study aimed to establish a link between blood ethylene oxide (EO) levels and periodontitis, given the growing concern about EO's detrimental health effects.
Materials And Methods: The study included 1006 adults from the 2013-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset. We assessed periodontitis prevalence across groups, used weighted binary logistic regression and restricted cubic spline fitting for HbEO-periodontitis association, and employed Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves for prediction.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical efficacy of full endoscopic lumbar annulus fibrosus suture in the treatment of single-segment lumbar disc herniation (LDH).
Methods: The clinical data of patients with single-segment LDH who underwent full endoscopic lumbar discectomy from January 2017 to January 2019 in our hospital were retrospectively analysed. Patients with full endoscopic lumbar discectomy combined with annulus fibrosus suture were divided into group A, and those with simple full endoscopic lumbar discectomy were divided into group B.

The first systematic acylated diversification of naturally scarce premyrsinane diterpenes, together with their biosynthetic precursors lathyrane diterpene were carried out. Two new series of premyrsinane derivates (1a-32a) and lathyrane derivates (1-32) were synthesized from the naturally abundant lathyrane diterpene Euphorbia factor L through a bioinspired approach. The cholinesterase inhibitory and neuroprotective activities of these diterpenes were investigated to explore potential anti-Alzheimer's disease (AD) bioactive lead compounds.

The questionnaire included general demographic information, the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) with 15 items, and the Fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14) with 14 items.

Introduction: Following our recent finding that Ucp2 knockout promotes ferroptosis, we aimed to examine whether UCP2 alleviates myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MI/RI) by inhibiting ferroptosis.
Methods: The left anterior descending coronary arteries of wild-type and Ucp2-/- C57BL/6 mice were ligated for 30 min and reperfused for 2 h to establish an MI/RI model. The effects of UCP2 on ferroptosis and MI/RI were determined by echocardiography, 2,3,5-triphenylttrazolium chloride staining, hematoxylin-eosin staining, Masson's trichrome staining, Sirius red staining, and analysis of myocardial injury markers and ferroptosis indicators.
