Prognostic evaluation of lymph-vascular space invasion in patients with endometrioid and non-endometrioid endometrial cancer: A multicenter study.

Introduction: The prognostic value of lymph-vascular space invasion (LVSI) on endometrial cancer (EC) remains controversial. This study aimed to explore the impact of LVSI on patients with endometrioid and non-endometrioid EC in China.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed EC patients who underwent surgery from 2010 to 2019 in seven Chinese hospitals retrospectively and stratified patients based on histopathologic types and LVSI status.

Mendelian Randomization Validates the Immune Landscape Mediated by Aggrephagy in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients from the Perspectives of Multi-omics.

To delineate the immune landscape of ESCC patients mediated by aggrephagy through bioinformatics and identify prognostic cell cluster genes with causal attributes to esophageal cancer through Mendelian randomization. Quality control, dimension reduction, and annotation were performed on the ESCC single-cell dataset. NMF clustering of various cell subgroups was carried out based on the expression of AGG-related genes, and AGG-related genes in each cluster were identified.

Artificial intelligence for segmentation and classification of lobar, lobular, and interstitial pneumonia using case-specific CT information.

Background: Pneumonia can be anatomically classified into lobar, lobular, and interstitial types, with each type associated with different pathogens. Utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to determine the anatomical classifications of pneumonia and assist in refining the differential diagnosis may offer a more viable and clinically relevant solution. This study aimed to develop a multi-classification model capable of identifying the occurrence of pneumonia in patients by utilizing case-specific computed tomography (CT) information, categorizing the pneumonia type (lobar, lobular, and interstitial pneumonia), and performing segmentation of the associated lesions.

Prognostic significance of positive peritoneal cytology in endometrial carcinoma based on ESGO/ESTRO/ESP risk classification: A multicenter retrospective study.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the prognostic significance of positive peritoneal cytology (PC) on endometrial carcinoma (EC) patients under the ESGO/ESTRO/ESP risk classification.

Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed EC patients from 27 medical centers in China from 2000 to 2019. Patients were divided into three ESGO risk groups: low-risk, intermediate-risk and high-intermediate risk, and high-risk groups.

[Analysis of the Prognostic Value and Risk Factors of Early Relapse for Newly Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma Patients in the Era of Novel Agents].

Objective: To investigate the influece of early relapse in the era of novel drugs on the prognosis of the patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma（NDMM） and risk factors, and to provide the basis for the early identification of the high-risk patients and guiding the treatment.

Methods: The clinical data of the patients with NDMM admitted to our hospital from November 2011 to May 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. According to whether the progression free survival（PFS） was more than 12 months, they were divided into early relapse group（≤12 months） and late relapse group（＞12 months）.

Methods: The study was designed as a retrospective cohort trial at the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. From January 2017 to December 2020, a total of 1,262 patients with DM were enrolled to assess the risk factors for DPN.

Background: With little attention given to low-frequency traffic noise and our understanding that cochlear function may be highly susceptible to low-frequency noise, there is an urgent need to determine traffic noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), not only the hearing loss at low frequency but also the possible high-frequency hearing loss.

Methods: The current study aims to investigate the potential for extensive hearing loss induced by exposure to 0.063 kHz octave band noise (OBN), which is an important component of low-frequency traffic noise.

A small-molecule cocktail promotes mammalian cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart regeneration.

Zebrafish and mammalian neonates possess robust cardiac regeneration via the induction of endogenous cardiomyocyte (CM) proliferation, but adult mammalian hearts have very limited regenerative potential. Developing small molecules for inducing adult mammalian heart regeneration has had limited success. We report a chemical cocktail of five small molecules (5SM) that promote adult CM proliferation and heart regeneration.

Marathon-related musculoskeletal injuries are very common. The imaging research of musculoskeletal injuries may provide scientific support for the health protection of marathon athletes. Unfortunately, imaging studies on musculoskeletal system injury are relatively lacking, large sample studies are almost blank, and neither imaging methods nor study populations are comprehensive enough.

Fate of Surgical Patients with Small Nonfunctioning Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors: An International Study Using Multi-Institutional Registries.

Several treatment guidelines for sporadic, nonmetastatic nonfunctioning neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas (NF-pNETs) have recommended resection, however, tumors ≤ 2 cm do not necessarily need surgery. This study aims to establish a surgical treatment plan for NF-pNETs ≤ 2 cm. From 2000 to 2017, 483 patients who underwent resection for NF-pNETs ≤ 2 cm in 18 institutions from Korea and China were enrolled and their medical records were reviewed.

MAP4K4 mediates the SOX6-induced autophagy and reduces the chemosensitivity of cervical cancer.

There are nearly 40% of cervical cancer patients showing poor response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy that can be induced by autophagy, however, the underlying mechanism has not yet been fully clarified. We previously found that Sex-determining region of Y-related high-mobility-group box 6 (SOX6), a tumor suppressor gene or oncogene in several cancers, could induce autophagy in cervical cancer. Accordingly, this study aims to investigate the mechanism of SOX6-induced autophagy and its potential significance in the platinum-based chemotherapy of cervical cancer.
