Objective: To elucidate how spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) exerts its analgesic effects through regulating brain function in lumbar disc herniation (LDH) patients by utilizing resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI).

Methods: From September 2021 to September 2023, we enrolled LDH patients (LDH group, n=31) and age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HCs, n=28). LDH group underwent rs-fMRI at 2 distinct time points (TPs): prior to the initiation of SMT (TP1) and subsequent to the completion of the SMT sessions (TP2).

Alzheimer's disease (AD), a prevalent cognitive disorder among the elderly, is frequently linked to the abnormal accumulation of myloid-β (Aβ), which is mainly as a result of neuronal death and inflammation. Diosmin, a flavonoid, is considered a potential drug for the treatment of AD. Our study aimed to uncover the molecular mechanism of diosmin in AD therapy.

Background: Despite its excellent screening effectiveness and sensitivity for breast cancer (BC), digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) is controversial due to its high radiation exposure and long reading time. This study examines the diagnostic accuracy of DBT and digital mammography (DM) for BC screening and diagnosis in women with dense or non-dense breast tissue.

Material And Methods: PRISMA-compliant searches were performed on Medline, Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, and the Cochrane databases for articles comparing DBT and DM for BC screening until March 2023.

Departments of Psychiatry, Affiliated Mental Health Center, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province 310000, China. Electronic address:

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder that has quickly becoming one of the most expensive, lethal, and burdening diseases of this century. In the past twenty years, hundreds of drugs have been tested while only several have been authorized by FDA for AD treatment, hence, searching for candidate agent with therapeutic potential for AD is imminent. Controlling polarization direction of microglia is crucial in AD therapy.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia, and ginsenoside Rg2 (Rg2) is proven to inhibit AD's progression. This study investigates the potential benefits of Rg2 treatment on 3xTg-AD mice. Following 6 weeks of gavage treatment, Rg2-treated 3xTg-AD mice exhibited improved spatial recognition memory behaviors, regional cerebral blood flow, and histopathological injury of the hippocampus, which were observed through a Y-maze test, laser Doppler flowmetry, and hematoxylin-eosin staining.

it was aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of cupping moxibustion in patients with functional diarrhea. 51 patients diagnosed with functional diarrhea from January 2021 to December 2021 were selected as the objects, and they were randomly divided into the control group (oral montmorillonite powder) and the experiment group (oral montmorillonite powder combined with cupping moxibustion). The number of diarrheas, Bristol stool, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes, clinical efficacy indexes, self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) score, the MOS item short from health survey (SF-36) scale score, peripheral blood cell levels of CD4+, CD8+, and Th17, gastrin (GAS), motilin (MTL), and cholecystokinin (CCK) levels was assessed before and after treatment.

Background: The study sought to construct a network of the effective components of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and potential therapeutic target genes of cerebral palsy based on data sets from high-throughput sequencing and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP).

Methods: A transcriptome sequencing data set (GSE183021) of blood samples from children with cerebral palsy was downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between the cerebral palsy blood samples and control blood samples were screened.

This study aims to investigate the curative effect of Kangfuyan capsule in the treatment of damp-heat and blood stasis type of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and its influence on serum inflammatory factors IL-6, CRP and TNF-α. A total of 83 patients with PID were randomly divided into two groups: Western medicine group (control group, n=41) received oral antibiotics (azithromycin + metronidazole) alone and the traditional Chinese medicine combined with Western medicine group (experimental group, n=42) received Kangfuyan capsule based on Western medicine therapy. Clinical efficacy between these two groups and the influence of drugs in serum inflammatory factors (IL-6, CRP and TNF-α) were compared.
