Callous-unemotional (CU) traits represent a risk factor for persistent, severe levels of externalizing problems. Irritability may predict the development of CU traits for some individuals, who are thought to acquire them in reaction to negative environmental experiences. Models on the development of CU traits have emphasized the socializing role of harsh parenting to the neglect of negative peer experiences.

Objective: Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and alcohol use disorder (AUD) commonly co-occur. Momentary alcohol cognitions may represent in-the-moment, modifiable risk factors to target in interventions for comorbid PTSD and AUD. However, the role of such cognitions in risk for problematic drinking as it emerges in response to individuals' fluctuating PTSD symptoms across their daily lives remains unknown.

The development of responsive MRI contrast agents to detect fluctuations in Zn(II) is a growing area of research. Here we describe a high-spin Fe(III) coordination complex, Fe(ADAPT), as one of the first examples of an Fe(III) MRI probe that is responsive to Zn(II). The six-coordinate Fe(ADAPT) contains a phenolate-appended 1,4,7-triazacyclononane (TACN) ligand framework, with the phenolate groups linked to a Zn(II) binding moiety.

Individuals can sway legal, medical, employment, or other decisions by dishonestly self-reporting on psychological tests. Accordingly, the Comprehensive Assessment of Traits relevant to Personality Disorder (CAT-PD) and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-3 (MMPI-3) include validity scales to detect overreporting and underreporting. Although many studies have empirically tested the validity scales of the MMPI-2 and the MMPI-2-RF, fewer have done so with the updated MMPI-3, and none with the CAT-PD.

Agriculture is a vital industry in New York State, which ranks among the top-producing states for dairy, fruits, and several other commodities. As agriculture depends on the weather and specific climatic conditions, this sector faces extraordinary challenges as New York's climate changes. This chapter explores the many impacts of a changing climate on agriculture, the ways these impacts interact with other challenges that New York farmers and farmworkers face, and opportunities for the agriculture industry to adapt and build resilience.

Importance: National Comprehensive Cancer Network guidelines recommend weekly cisplatin as an alternative concurrent systemic therapy for definitive chemoradiation in patients with head and neck cancer. However, the impact of different levels of adherence to weekly cisplatin on outcomes stratified by human papillomavirus p16 status remains unclear.
Objective: To evaluate the association between the number of weekly cisplatin cycles and outcomes.

Babesiosis is a parasitic tick-borne infectious disease that is well elucidated in medical literature and known to be endemic to the Midwest and northeast United States. However, like other infectious diseases, its epidemiology is subject to change. This case report documents two cases with clinical presentations that deviate from what is expected in typical cases of Babesiosis.

Purpose Of Review: Dietary phytochemicals, bioactive compounds derived from plants, have gained increasing attention for their potential role in cancer prevention. Among these, NRF2 (nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2) activating dietary phytochemicals such as curcumin, sulforaphane, ursolic acid, and cyanidin have demonstrated significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making them promising agents in chemoprevention. This review examines the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) profiles of these dietary phytochemicals, with a focus on their NRF2-mediated effects in cancer prevention.

Unlabelled: Social media (SM) is widely used among adolescents, making the relationship between SM and affect in this population important to understand. However, previous research has largely used methods that do not capture the dynamic and variable nature of SM or measure the consistency of effects across global affect and specific emotions. The current study examined the momentary relationship between positive and negative SM experiences and global positive affect (PA) and negative affect (NA), as well as specific affective states of PA and NA.

Foraminifera are unicellular protists capable of precipitating calcite tests, which fossilize and preserve geochemical signatures of past environmental conditions dating back to the Cambrian period. The biomineralization mechanisms responsible for the mineral structures, which are key to interpreting palaeoceanographic signals, are poorly understood. Here, we present an extensive analysis of the test-bound proteins.

Unlabelled: The SPFH (stomatin, prohibitin, flotillin, and HflK/HflC) protein superfamily is conserved across all domains of life. Fungal SPFH proteins are required for respiration, stress adaptation, and membrane scaffolding. In the yeast , stomatin-like protein 3 (Slp3) forms punctate foci at the plasma membrane, and overexpression causes cell death following exposure to the surfactant, SDS, and the oxidative stressor, HO.

Background: Gilteritinib, an effective and selective inhibitor of the FLT3 gene, was developed to address the challenges posed by relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients who often encounter limited treatment options and poor prognoses with salvage chemotherapy.
Aim: This systematic review aims to explore the progression of interventional research and consolidate existing evidence on the clinical effectiveness of gilteritinib as a monotherapy or combination therapy in improving overall survival among adults experiencing a recurrence or resistance to treatment for FLT3-positive AML patients.
Methods: A comprehensive search strategy, utilizing Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) and non-MeSH terms was conducted across Pubmed, EMBASE, Cochrane, and Web of Science databases.

The National Immunization Program (PNI) is one of Brazil's most significant public health interventions. However, recent years have witnessed a progressive decline in vaccination coverage despite the success of the PNI and the expansion of Primary Health Care (PHC), the main point of entry for the population into health services. To address this challenge, broader strategies are needed, such as identifying areas at high risk for the transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases.

The material properties of biomolecular condensates govern their dynamics and functions by influencing the molecular diffusion rates and biochemical interactions. A recent report has identified a characteristic timescale of temperature-dependent viscosity in biomolecular condensates arising from an activated dissociation events collectively referred to as flow activation energy. The microscopic origin of this activation energy is a complex function of sequence, stoichiometry, and external conditions.

Background: Cellulose, an abundant biopolymer, has great potential to be utilized as a renewable fuel feedstock through its enzymatic degradation into soluble sugars followed by sugar fermentation into liquid biofuels. However, crystalline cellulose is highly resistant to hydrolysis, thus industrial-scale production of cellulosic biofuels has been cost-prohibitive to date. Mechanistic studies of enzymes that break down cellulose, called cellulases, are necessary to improve and adapt such biocatalysts for implementation in biofuel production processes.

Iridium (Ir) is the most active and durable anode catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWEs). However, their large-scale applications are hindered by high costs and scarcity of Ir. Lowering Ir loadings below 1.
