Article Synopsis
  • * Results showed a significantly lower incidence of EA in the nalbuphine group compared to the saline group 30 minutes post-extubation (10.28% vs. 28.39%), along with improved pain management as indicated by lower FLACC scores.
  • * The nalbuphine group experienced a reduced risk of EA at multiple time points post-surgery without any noticeable difference in recovery metrics such as extubation time and PACU stay, suggesting it is an effective intervention for managing EA

Background: Balloon dilation is a primary treatment for nonmalignant tracheobronchial stenosis, but often requires multiple treatment sessions to maintain therapeutic efficacy. No guideline is available to suggest the appropriate maximum number of treatment sessions. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the number of balloon dilation sessions and its long-term therapeutic effectiveness in Chinese patients with nonmalignant central airway stenosis.

Objective: To establish a labeling method for a specific lung cancer-targeting small molecule peptide cNGQGEQc with ¹³¹I and observe the radioactivity distribution of the labeled peptide in rabbits using single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).

Methods: Chloramine-T method was used for ¹³¹I labeling of the tyrosine amino group on cNGQGEQc, and the labeling efficiency and radiochemical purity of ¹³¹I-cNGQGEQc were determined with paper chromatography. The stability of ¹³¹I-cNGQGEQc in saline and human serum was assessed after incubation in water bath at 37 degrees celsius; for 24 h.
