Progress in the Application of the Residual SYNTAX Score and Its Derived Scores.

The residual SYNTAX score (rSS) is employed for the quantification of residual coronary lesions and to guide revascularization. rSS can be combined with other examinations to evaluate the severity of vascular disease and play an evaluative and guiding role in various scenarios. Furthermore, combining rSS with other indicators, benefits prognosis evaluation, and rSS-derived scores have been increasingly used in clinical practice.

Idiopathic giant adrenal calcification: a rare case report.

Background: We describe a rare case of giant adrenal calcification as the main cause of sudden onset epigastric pain in a 57-year-old female patient.

Case Description: Computed tomography (CT) of the whole abdomen in this patient showed calcified foci measuring approximately 7.8 × 5.

Pelvic bone tumor segmentation fusion algorithm based on fully convolutional neural network and conditional random field.

Background And Objective: Pelvic bone tumors represent a harmful orthopedic condition, encompassing both benign and malignant forms. Addressing the issue of limited accuracy in current machine learning algorithms for bone tumor image segmentation, we have developed an enhanced bone tumor image segmentation algorithm. This algorithm is built upon an improved full convolutional neural network, incorporating both the fully convolutional neural network (FCNN-4s) and a conditional random field (CRF) to achieve more precise segmentation.

The relationship between sleep quality and daytime dysfunction among college students in China during COVID-19: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: College Students' sleep quality and daytime dysfunction have become worse since the COVID-19 outbreak, the purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between sleep quality and daytime dysfunction among college students during the COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019) period.

Methods: This research adopts the form of cluster random sampling of online questionnaires. From April 5 to 16 in 2022, questionnaires are distributed to college students in various universities in Fujian Province, China and the general information questionnaire and PSQI scale are used for investigation.

Background And Objective: Bone tumor is a kind of harmful orthopedic disease, there are benign and malignant points. Aiming at the problem that the accuracy of the existing machine learning algorithm for bone tumor image segmentation is not high, a bone tumor image segmentation algorithm based on improved full convolutional neural network which consists fully convolutional neural network (FCNN-4s) and conditional random field (CRF).

Methodology: The improved fully convolutional neural network (FCNN-4s) was used to perform coarse segmentation on preprocessed images.

Hand-Schüller-Christian syndrome combined with empty sella syndrome: A case report and literature review.

Rational: Hand-Schüller-Christian syndrome (HCS) is a rare disease with little clinical awareness, but the condition is more dangerous, and it combines with empty sella syndrome (ESS) which is extremely rare.

Presentation: A 26-year-old male patient who had proptosis, headaches, and diabetes insipidus for more than 10 years, and chronic cough and wheeze for 8 years presented to our hospital due to an abrupt onset of chest pain for 2 days.

Diagnosis: Hand-Schüller-Christian syndrome is diagnosed based on the typical clinical manifestations of diabetes insipidus and bilateral proptosis, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) pituitary imaging and pathology.

[Clinical application and evaluation of an early non-sedation protocol for critically ill respiratory patients].

To study the value of an early (mechanical ventilation after 24 h) non-sedation protocol for intubated, mechanically ventilated patients in the respiratory intensive care unit (RICU). Seventy intubated, mechanically ventilated patients were prospectively enrolled and randomly assigned to management with early non-sedation (intervention group; =35) or with daily interruption of sedation (DIS) (control group; =35). The duration of mechanical ventilation, length of the RICU and hospital stay, RICU and hospital mortality, drug consumption, RICU and hospitalization expenses, incidence of complications and adverse events and serum levels of vital organ damage and inflammatory markers after mechanical ventilation for 48 h were recorded and compared.

Anti-tumor activity of phenoxybenzamine hydrochloride on malignant glioma cells.

Phenoxybenzamine hydrochloride (PHEN) is a selective antagonist of both α-adrenoceptor and calmodulin that exhibits anticancer properties. The aim of this study was to explore the anti-tumor function of PHEN in glioma. Cell proliferation assay was used to assess glioma cell growth.

Significance and Application of Digital Breast Tomosynthesis for the BI-RADS Classification of Breast Cancer.

Background: Full-field digital mammography (FFDM) with dense breasts has a high rate of missed diagnosis, and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) could reduce organization overlapping and provide more reliable images for BI-RADS classification. This study aims to explore application of COMBO (FFDM+DBT) for effect and significance of BI-RADS classification of breast cancer.

Deficiency of citrin, liver-type mitochondrial aspartate-glutamate carrier, is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations of the SLC25A13 gene on chromosome 7q21.3 and has two phenotypes: neonatal intrahepatic cholestatic hepatitis (NICCD) and adult-onset type II citrullinemia (CTLN2). So far, we have described 19 SLC25A13 mutations.
