Background and Purpose- Pontine autosomal dominant microangiopathy and leukoencephalopathy, a recently defined subtype of cerebral small vessel disease, is associated with mutations in COL4A1 (collagen type IV alpha 1 chain) 3' untranslated region. We here describe a pontine autosomal dominant microangiopathy and leukoencephalopathy pedigree with COL4A1 mutation presenting both pontine and cervical spinal cord involvement. Methods- For the diagnostic purpose, brain and spinal magnetic resonance imaging scanning, skin biopsy, and whole-exome sequencing were performed on the patients in the pedigree.

The results showed that there was a long history of acupuncture from the Dynasty to the present and many medical scholars and medical books were sprung up.

Objective: To observe the effect difference between acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture (EA) and simple acupuncture for hand spasm in stroke patients.
Methods: Sixty patients were randomly assigned into an acupuncture group and a combination group, 30 cases in each one. Patients in the two groups were treated with acupuncture at the affected Jianyu (LI 15), Binao (LI 14), Jianliao (TE 14), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli (LI 10), Waiguan (TE 5), Futu (ST 32), Liangqiu (ST 34), Xuehai (SP 10), Zusanli (ST 36), Shangjuxu (ST 37), Xiajuxu (ST 39), Yinlingquan (SP 9), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Taixi (KI 3), Taichong (LR 3), and the points at the middle of all the dorsal muscles between metacarpal bones.

Methods: With double-blind double-dummy randomized control method, a total of 40 patients with anovulatory infertility were randomly divided into a moxibustion group and a clomiphene group, 20 cases in each one. Blinding was conducted on both patients and doctors.

Curcumin has previously demonstrated anti-inflammatory, anti-infective and immuno-suppressive effects. In the present study, whether the attenuating effects of curcumin against hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal rats are mediated via nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) was investigated. A model of hypoxic-ischemic brain injury was created using 1-week-old Sprague Dawley rats (weight, 52±1 g).

Objective: To explore the impacts of electroacupuncture on embryo implanted potential and its molecular mechanism in the patients with infertility of different symptom complex.
Methods: Among the patients with infertility treated with electroacupuncture and in vitro fertilization and embryo transplantation (IVF-ET), 82 cases of kidney deficiency (group A), 74 cases of liver qi stagnation (group B) and 54 cases of phlegm dampness (group C) were selected. All of the patients in three groups received long-program ovarian hyper-stimulation.

Objective: To observe the impacts of electroacupuncture (EA) on oocyte quality and pregnant outcome for the patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET) and explore its potential mechanism.
Methods: Sixty-six patients with PCOS and undergoing IVF-ET were divided into two groups randomly, including an observation group (34 cases) and a control group (32 cases). Ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets and gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist were administered for long-program superovulation in either group.
