Importance: Recurrence remains a challenge after ablation of outflow tract premature ventricular contractions (OT-PVCs). Although adding additional lesions next to the index effective ablation site is sometimes performed to reinforce the ablation, it remains uncertain whether this approach is effective.
Objective: To test the hypothesis that additional ablation lesions would reduce the recurrence rate compared with single-point ablation at the index effective site for the ablation of OT-PVCs.

Hypothermia is commonly used to protect donor hearts during transplantation. However, patients transplanted with aged donor hearts still have severe myocardial injury and decreased survival rates, but the underlying mechanism remains unknown. Because aged hearts are not considered suitable for donation, the number of patients awaiting heart transplants is increasing.

MicroRNA (miR)-200b-3p has been associated with many tumors, but its involvement in pituitary adenoma is unclear. This study investigated the molecular mechanism underlying miR-200b-3p regulation in pituitary adenomas to provide a theoretical basis for treatment. Bioinformatics was used to analyze pituitary adenoma-related genes and screen new targets related to RECK and miRNA.

Our study identified a novel long noncoding RNA, LINC01322, that acts as an oncogene in lung adenocarcinoma progression. Cytoplasmic and nuclear RNA purification assays indicated that LINC01322 was localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Gene set enrichment analysis revealed the involvement of LINC01322 in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration, and the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) signaling pathway.

A 10-year-old girl presented with obvious cyanosis, and the saturation of arterial blood oxygen (SpO) was decreased to 60.5% in the outpatient examination. Computed tomography angiography (CTA) and echocardiography suggested congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries (ccTGAs), membranous ventricular septal aneurysm (MVSA), atrial septal defect (ASD), severe pulmonary stenosis (PS), and severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR).

Gout is a prevalent chronic inflammatory disease that affects the life of tens of millions of people worldwide, and it typically presents as gout arthritis, gout stone, or even kidney damage. Research has revealed its connection with the gut microbiome, although exact mechanism is still unclear. Studies have shown the decline of microbiome diversity in gout patients and change of microbiome compositions between the gout patients and healthy controls.

Introduction: Concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) is the standard of care for inoperable locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer. To further improve prognosis, the use of consolidation treatments after CCRT has been explored extensively. Although durvalumab is the only consolidation treatment recommended by national clinical practice guidelines, there have been many studies exploring the effectiveness of other agents.

Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are present in excess amounts in patients with tumors, and these ROS can kill and destroy tumor cells. Therefore, tumor cells upregulate ROS-related genes to protect them and reduce their destructing effects. Cancer cells already damaged by ROS can be repaired by expressing DNA repair genes consequently promoting their proliferation.

Background And Aim: Ischemic stroke is one of the main causes of death worldwide and permanent global disability. On the basis of existing literature data, the study was carried out in an effort to explore how miR-140-5p affects ischemic stroke and whether the mechanism relates to toll-like receptor-4 (TLR4) and nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB).
Methods: Firstly, middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) was performed to establish mouse models of ischemic stroke in vivo, while primary neurons were exposed to oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD) to set up an ischemic stroke model in vitro.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra (SN). Several factors, including neuroinflammation, neuronal excitotoxicity, genetic mutations and incorrect protein folding are involved in PD pathophysiology. However, the precise mechanism that contributes to the decreased number of dopaminergic neurons is unknown.
