Primary diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) of the penis is an exceptionally rare malignant disorder, and less than 20 cases have been previously reported. The diagnosis can be difficult, and the standard treatment has not been established yet. We reported an 86-year-old male patient with DLBCL of the penis with an annular penile ulcer, which was not sensitive to the classic R-C(H)OP regimen for three circles; then underwent surgical resection and achieved complete remission for 73 months until now.

Blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN) is a rare hematological malignancy characterized by recurrent skin nodules, an aggressive clinical course with rapid involvement of hematological organs, and a poor prognosis with poor overall survival. BPDCN is derived from plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) and its pathogenesis is unclear. The tumor cells show aberrant expression of CD4, CD56, interleukin-3 receptor alpha chain (CD123), blood dendritic cell antigen 2 (BDCA 2/CD303), blood dendritic cell antigen 4 (BDCA4) and transcription factor (E protein) E2-2 (TCF4).

Inhalation anesthetics have been demonstrated to have protective effects against myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury (MIRI). O-linked GlcNAcylation (O-GlcNAc) modifications have been shown to protect against MIRI. This study aimed to investigate whether O-GlcNAcylation and necroptosis signaling were important for sevoflurane postconditioning (SPC) induced cardioprotective effects.

Objective: To investigate the effect of gene expression on prostate cancer cells (PC-3M), explore the mechanism of AMD1 action in cancer cells, and examine the regulation of gene expression by methionine (MET).

Methods: Quantitative PCR (qPCR) and western blot analysis (WB) approaches were used to detect and measure gene expression. The cell apoptotic rate was determined by flow cytometric (FCM) analysis.

Castleman disease (CD) comprises 3 poorly understood lymphoproliferative variants sharing several common histopathological features. Unicentric CD (UCD) is localized to a single region of lymph nodes. Multicentric CD (MCD) manifests with systemic inflammatory symptoms and organ dysfunction due to cytokine dysregulation and involves multiple lymph node regions.

The oncogenic bcr/abl1 fusion gene is a chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)-specific antigen which is absent in normal tissues. This makes bcr/abl1 a perfect target for developing CML vaccines that elicit specific immune responses against minimal residual disease while sparing normal tissue. The aim of this study was to use different methods to induce dendritic cells (DCs) derived from patients with CML (CML-DCs) and analyze them for CML-specific tumor cytotoxicity for immune therapy.

Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT) pathway plays a key role in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. Mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), a downstream target of PI3K/AKT signaling, is necessary and sufficient to protect the heart from I/R injury. Inhaled anesthetic sevoflurane is widely used in cardiac surgeries because its induction and recovery are faster and smoother than other inhaled anesthetics.
