Background: Nursing literature suggested that patient mistreatment has significant impacts on nurses' emotions and job burnout. Yet, further research is needed to understand the underlying mechanism and the spillover effect on nurses' families. Leveraging the goal progress theory, this study aimed to examine the association between patient mistreatment, nurses' emotional exhaustion, and work-family conflict, as well as the mediating role of social sharing of negative work events and the moderating role of perceived organizational support.

Efficacy and safety of chiglitazar, a novel peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor pan-agonist, in patients with type 2 diabetes: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial (CMAP).

Chiglitazar (Carfloglitazar) is a novel non-thiazolidinedione (TZD) structured peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) pan-agonist that has shown promising effects on glycemic control and lipid regulation in patients with type 2 diabetes in previous clinical studies. This randomized phase 3 trial aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of chiglitazar with placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes with insufficient glycemic control by strict diet and exercise alone. Eligible patients were randomly assigned to receive chiglitazar 32 mg (n = 167), chiglitazar 48 mg (n = 166), or placebo (n = 202) once daily.

Spontaneous intramural hematoma of the alimentary canal.

Spontaneous intramural hematoma of the alimentary canal has rarely been reported. We present two cases in which anticoagulation therapy brings spontaneous intramural hematoma of the alimentary canal. In one case, the lesion was located in the ileum, and the other was located in the ascending colon and distal ileum.

[Comparison of the effect between procaine and 5-aza-dc on wnt inhibitory factor 1 promoter methylation of HepG2].

Objective: To observe the CpG island methylation status, mRNA and protein expression of the Wnt inhibitory factor-1 (Wif-1) gene with procaine or 5'-Aza-2'-deoxycycytidine (5-aza-dc) on HepG2. And to explore the comparison of the demethylation with 5-aza-dc or procaine.

Methods: HepG2 cells were treated with 5-aza-dc or procaine.
