The medical activity and satisfaction of geriatric care of Mongolia residents.

Nowadays, process of aging of population covers all countries of the world. In current conditions, an important moment is increasing medical activity of elderly population and old persons. The purpose of the study is to investigate social hygienic characteristics of medical activity and satisfaction with geriatric care of the elderly residents of Mongolia.

The health preserving technologies in process of teaching children with health limited capacities.

The article discusses health saving technologies in context of education resources for children with disabilities. The purpose of the study is to identify and to classify main groups of health preserving technologies applied in educational practice for children with disabilities. The need to analyze national and foreign studies, concerning hygienic, physical culture, health improving, environmental, educational health preserving technologies targeted to ensure safety of children, is emphasized.

[The results and perspectives of primary health care reforming in Moscow].

The primary health care is characterized by its directivity to population health, while general practitioner is key figure in its organization and is responsible for assigned population health. The Russian Federation continues to suffer from overspecialization of medical care in outpatient health care. At that, the number of unreasonable visits to medical specialists is too high.

Inferior alveolar nerve preservation during resection and reconstruction of the mandible for benign tumors as a factor improving patient's quality of life.

This prospective study aimed to evaluate neurosensory disturbance and quality of life in patients who underwent mandibular resection for benign tumors and whose inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) was either preserved or sacrificed. Mandibular resection was indicated owing to the presence of osteoradionecrosis in 25 patients and ameloblastoma in 15 patients. Resection was unilateral in 24 patients and bilateral in 16 patients.

Effectiveness of indapamide/amlodipine single-pill combination in patients with isolated systolic hypertension: post-hoc analysis of the ARBALET study.

Background: This study evaluated the effectiveness of treatment with an indapamide/amlodipine single-pill combination (SPC) in outpatients with uncontrolled isolated systolic hypertension (ISH) aged over 55 years in real-life clinical practice.

Methods: This was a post-hoc analysis of the subgroup of patients with ISH from ARBALET, a 3-month, multicenter, observational, open-label study conducted in Russia among patients with grade I or II hypertension who were either uncontrolled on previous antihypertensive treatment or treatment-naïve. The effectiveness of indapamide/amlodipine SPC was assessed by the change in office systolic blood pressure (SBP) and the rate of target SBP (< 140 mmHg) achievement at 2 weeks, 1 month and 3 months, in four age groups: 55-59 years, 60-69 years, 70-79 years, and 80 years or older.

DNA microcircles - The promising tool for in vivo studies of the behavior of non-canonical DNA.

The paper discusses the reasons for the resurrection of the term DNA microcircles through the change of its definition to "topologically closed DNA circles with the length less than 1 Kbp" from the entire population of circular DNA that holds the name of minicircles. The possible applications of such tool for in vivo studies of non-canonical DNA are also discussed. Prospective for in vivo and in vitro studies of non-canonical DNA cloned into microcircles are demonstrated.

[The development of health preservation technologies: from individual to family approach].

Unlabelled: The actuality of considered problem is in the fact that many medical social problems of preserving and improving population health can be resolved by the family and with its support. The purpose of the study is to substantiate scientifically priority of family approach in development of National health preservation system in actual conditions.

Materials And Methods: The national and foreign electronic databases were investigated to find publications concerning transformation of matrimonial relations, effect of family on health and need in health preservation technologies at each stage of its development.

Neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for locally advanced rectal cancer with peritumoral abscesses and fistulas.

Purpose: Rectal cancer patients who present with peritumoral abscesses and fistulas at the time of diagnosis may be denied chemoradiotherapy (CRT) as the safety is unknown. The aim of this study was to investigate the safety of preoperative CRT in this patient group.

Methods: We performed a retrospective nested case-control study to compare outcomes between patients with locally advanced rectal cancer with peritumoral abscesses and fistulas (study group) and patients with T4 locally advanced rectal cancer with no evidence of abscesses and fistulas (control group).

This article is devoted to the study of surface treatment methods of titanium alloys and the study of their interaction with mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).

[The medical social problems and methods of diagnostic of cognitive disorders in patients taking "Spice"].

The article presents the results of pilot study implemented to determine cognitive disorders in patients taking "Spice". The purpose of research is to identify targets of psychological correction interventions to prevent cognitive deficiency in patients addicted to synthetic cannabinoids. The pilot sampling consisted of 30 patients taking "Spice".

[The day hospitals as preventive hospitalization of patients of able-bodied age].

In accordance with the Russian Federal Law No. 350 of January 2019 the retirement age for Russians is increased for men from 60 up to 65 years, for women from 55 up to 60 years that requires implementation of organizational technologies of health-preserving, promotion of life and labor potential of population of late able-bodied age. In this regard, the role of day hospitals (DH) functioning directed at maximal possible prolongation of autonomous life and working capacity of elderly population increases.

[Echocardiographic Diagnostics of Heart Tumors].

The article focuses on ultrasound diagnosis of cardiac tumors (CT). In recent time, the frequency of detecting cardiac neoplasm has been growing. Correct diagnosis at an early stage of the process would allow timely treatment.

When early and late risers were left to their own devices: six distinct chronotypes under "lockdown" remained dissimilar on their sleep and health problems.

Under national "lockdown," the habitual late risers need not wake up early, and, similarly to the early risers, they don't lose much sleep on weekdays. We tested whether, despite a decrease in weekday sleep loss, the difference between distinct chronotypes in health and sleep problems persisted during "lockdown." Two online surveys were conducted from 10th to 20th of May, 2020 and 2021, one of them after 6 non-working weeks and another after 14 working weeks (during and after "lockdown," respectively).

[The development of prototype of "ideal" model of competences of executive manager in health care].

Unlabelled: The formation of a prototype of the organizational functional model of competences of the "ideal" health care manager and availability of objective assessment of its activities are of considerable practical interest. In any medical organization there is a need for trained, experienced and motivated administrators - managers capable effectively achieve their goals. This need can be met by developing and improving managerial competencies in managers at all levels.

[The vector of integration of medical nurses-bachelors in practical health care].

The article discusses the experience of Israel, Canada, the USA and the European countries in training nurses with higher nursing education. The considerations concerning the need to change previously established standards of professionalization of graduates with higher nursing education in health care reform are analyzed. The purpose of the study is to consider a possibility of organizing a model of partnership relationship between physician and medical nurse with higher nursing education in conditions of the reform of health care system in The Russian Federation.

[The priority directions of forming and supporting healthy life-style in megalopolis conditions].

The activities related to formation and maintenance of healthy life-style of population are to be carried out in accordance with the Strategy of prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases. The purpose of the study is to analyze current trends in the formation of healthy life-style of Moscow residents and to determine priority areas of its maintenance. Materials and methods.

HeLa TI cell-based assay as a new approach to screen for chemicals able to reactivate the expression of epigenetically silenced genes.

Chemicals reactivating epigenetically silenced genes target diverse classes of enzymes, including DNMTs, HDACs, HMTs and BET protein family members. They can strongly influence the expression of genes and endogenous retroviral elements with concomitant dsRNA synthesis and massive transcription of LTRs. Chemicals reactivating gene expression may cause both beneficial effects in cancer cells and may be hazardous by promoting carcinogenesis.

Influence of Sucrose on the Efficiency of Cryopreservation of Human Umbilical Cord-Derived Multipotent Stromal Cells with the Use of Various Penetrating Cryoprotectants.

We studied the influence of sucrose applied in combination with different concentrations of penetrating cryoprotectants (DMSO, ethylene glycol, and glycerol) on the efficiency of cryopreservation of umbilical cord-derived multipotent stromal cells (MSC). The results indicate that these cells can be cryopreserved with the use of 5-10% DMSO or ethylene glycol with equal efficiency; addition of 0.2 M sucrose does not affect cell survival after thawing.

Growth of Mesenchymal Stem Cells on Poly(3-Hydroxybutyrate) Scaffolds Loaded with Simvastatin.

We studied the effect of porous composite scaffolds based on poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) loaded with simvastatin on the growth and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells. The scaffolds have a suitable microstructure (porosity and pore size) and physicochemical properties to support the growth of mesenchymal stem cells. Scaffold loading with simvastatin suppressed cell growth and increased alkaline phosphatase activity, which can attest to their osteoinductive properties.

A six-factor structure of individual variation in the tendencies to become sleepy and to sleep at different times of the day.

A multidimensional approach has been previously applied for modeling and assessment of individual differences in the ability to sleep or to stay awake at certain clock hours. More recently the 19 time-point Visuo-verbal Judgment Task (VJT) has been proposed to predict changes in sleepiness level from the morning hours to the next day afternoon. The dimensionality of the VJT has not been explored so far.

[The comparative analysis of population attitude to vaccination against COVID-19 infection in foreign countries and in Russia].

Unlabelled: The COVID-19 vaccination is considered as decisive factor in termination of pandemic. Hence, the vaccine development and clinical trials are carried on in an accelerated rate. At that, success of any mass immunization program, including its global application, directly depends on population willingness to be vaccinated.

Differences between male and female university students in sleepiness, weekday sleep loss, and weekend sleep duration.

Introduction: Women and men experience sleep differently and the difference in intrinsic desire for sleep might underlie some of the observed male-female differences. The objective of this cross-sectional questionnaire study of university students was to determine male-female differences in self-reported sleepiness and sleep-wake patterns.

Methods: Five questionnaires were completed by 1650 students at four Russian universities.

[The relationship of stomatological health of disabled children with hearing and vision impairment].

The issue of preventing various diseases in children with disabilities is relevant around the world. The purpose of the study: to investigate the oral health of disabled children with hearing impairments and with visual impairments and to determine problematic issues of their dental care support. The individual face-to-face questionnaire survey was carried out covering parents (legal representatives) of students of special general education school for children with hearing and visual impairments.

[The medical specialists' evaluation of actual status of ultrasound diagnostic in pediatric practice].

Unlabelled: The sociological survey of medical specialists is summoned to identify problematic areas of organization nature in functioning of ultrasound service and to elaborate effective measures to eliminate them. The purpose of research: to study opinions of medical specialists concerning state and priority directions of enhancement of ultrasound diagnostics in children.

Materials And Methods: The survey of 196 medical specialists in ultrasound diagnostics was carried out using questionnaire that included questions on evaluation of functioning of corresponding medical organizations, ultrasound diagnostics included, satisfaction with their work and means of improving ultrasound service.
