Cardiac infarction caused by PD-1 inhibitor during small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ureter treatment: A case report.

Although small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the ureter (ureteral SCNEC) is rare, it always leads to a poor prognosis. Also, no treatment recommendation has been given for ureteral SCNEC, with only PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors being used for its treatment. Here, we report a case of atypical symptoms of cardiac infarction caused by a PD-1 inhibitor used in the treatment of ureteral SCNEC and hope to address concerns regarding the possible cardiac toxicity caused by PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors in ureteral SCNEC patients.

The purpose of this study was to identify potential tumor antigens and robust immune subtypes for the development and appropriate use of anti-PRCC mRNA vaccines, respectively. Raw sequencing data and clinical information of PRCC patients were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database.

Deep Learning Provides a New Magnetic Resonance Imaging-Based Prognostic Biomarker for Recurrence Prediction in High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer.

This study aims to use a deep learning method to develop a signature extract from preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to evaluate its ability as a non-invasive recurrence risk prognostic marker in patients with advanced high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). Our study comprises a total of 185 patients with pathologically confirmed HGSOC. A total of 185 patients were randomly assigned in a 5:3:2 ratio to a training cohort (n = 92), validation cohort 1 (n = 56), and validation cohort 2 (n = 37).

Background: Since severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV) was first reported in 2009, a large number of relevant studies have been published. However, no bibliometrics analysis has been conducted on the literature focusing on SFTSV. This study aims to evaluate the research hotspots and future development trends of SFTSV research through bibliometric analysis, and to provide a new perspective and reference for future SFTSV research and the prevention of SFTSV.

Background: Conventional systemic inflammatory biomarkers could predict prognosis in patients with ischemic stroke (IS) admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Acute kidney injury (AKI) is common in patients with IS admitted to ICU, but few studies have used systemic inflammatory biomarkers to predict AKI in critically ill patients with IS. This study aimed to establish a risk model based on white blood cell (WBC)-related biomarkers to predict AKI in critically ill patients with IS.

This study attempted to explore the effect of ubiquitin-specific peptidases 29 (USP29) on the malignant proliferation of CRC cells via stabilizing Vir-like m6A methyltransferase associated (VIRMA/KIAA1429). First, upregulations of USP29, KIAA1429, and SRY-box transcription factor 8 (SOX8) were found in CRC tissues and cells through real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting.

In this study, we investigated the mechanism of hepatitis B virus (HBV)-enveloped particle release. Specifically, we used preS1 as a bait protein to screen host proteins using mass spectroscopy, with the results of immunofluorescence, western blot, co-immunoprecipitation, isothermal titration calorimetry, and pull-down assays identifying glucose-regulated protein (GRP)78 as a specific target for preS1 binding. We employed transcriptome sequencing, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, and particle gel assays to investigate the mechanism of GRP78-mediated positive regulation of HBV-enveloped particle release.

Hepatic Encephalopathy in Cirrhotic Patients and Risk of Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a neurological and psychiatric syndrome. Recent evidence suggests that HE is not only a disease of the liver and brain but is also related to the gut. Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) is well known to be associated with cirrhosis, but the relationship between SIBO and HE is unclear.

A clinical observational study on the application of enhanced recovery after laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy.

Purpose: The safety and feasibility of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) for laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (LPD) are unclear. The aim of this retrospective clinical study was to evaluate the impact of ERAS protocols for LPD.

Patients And Methods: Between March 2016 and December 2018, a total of 34 consecutive patients with ERAS for LPD were prospectively enrolled and compared with 68 consecutive patients previously treated for non-ERAS after LPD during an equal time frame.

The prevalence of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth in diabetes mellitus: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate the prevalence of SIBO in diabetic patients and to determine the association between SIBO and diabetes.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search of the PubMed, Cochrane Library and EMBASE databases from inception to June 2021 was conducted for studies correlating SIBO with diabetes. Studies were screened, and relevant data were extracted and analysed.
