Aim: Ultrasonography (US) has shown accuracy in imaging healthy periodontium. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of US for estimating dimensions of inflamed periodontium induced by ligature and bacteria.
Methods: Periodontal tissues of maxillary as well as mandibular premolars and molars in six female mini pigs were treated with ligature and three strains of bacteria for 4-10 weeks.

Methods: This cross-sectional study used a single survey in 2023 sent to all US dental schools for female D1 and D4 students.

However, advancements in digital dentistry now allow for more precise customization and increased treatment efficiency.

Statement Of Problem: Although immediate implant loading has shown promising clinical results and high survival rates, an increased risk of implant failure and complications has been reported. Achieving consistently predictable outcomes with this approach remains a challenge, but evidence-based guidelines to assist in selecting suitable patients are lacking.
Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective clinical study was to investigate the success rate, survival rate, and complications of immediate implant loading compared with early and delayed loading.

Repeated Social Defeat (RSD) in mice recapitulates several key physiological, immune, and behavioral changes evident after chronic stress in humans. For instance, neurons in the prefrontal cortex, amygdala, and hippocampus are involved in the interpretation of and response to fear and threatful stimuli after RSD.

This case report features a female patient with the chief complaint of needing to replace an anterior crown. After a comprehensive oral assessment and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) radiographic examination, it was determined that the crown on Tooth #9 was subgingivally fractured. The procedure involved atraumatic extraction of Tooth #9, followed by immediate implant placement.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the color stability of bulk-fill flowable resin composites with 2 difference shades at baseline and after artificial aging.
Methods: Disk-shaped specimens (Ø10 × 4 mm) were fabricated from three bulk-fill flowable resin resin composites (Filtek Bulk-Fill Flow, Venus Bulk-Fill Flow, and Estelite Bulk-Fill Flow). The specimens in each bulk-fill resin composite group were divided into two subgroups (n = 10 per subgroup) with two different shades, A1 (N = 30) and A3 (N = 30), and were polymerized with light curing (800 mW/cm/Valo LED Unit, Ultradent) and polished.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of build orientation on the fabrication trueness and fit of additively manufactured 2-piece zirconia abutments when compared with those manufactured subtractively in 3 mol% and 4 mol% yttria-stabilized zirconia (3Y-TZP and 4Y-TZP).
Methods: A titanium-base (Ti-base) abutment was digitized with a scan body and an industrial scanner to design a 2-piece zirconia abutment with a 50 µm cement gap. This design was used to manufacture zirconia abutments additively in different orientations (0-degree, AM-0; 15-degree, AM-15; 30-degree, AM-30; 45-degree, AM-45; 180-degree, AM-180) and subtractively from 3Y-TZP and 4Y-TZP (SM-3 and SM-4) (n=5).

Purpose: To evaluate how build orientation affects the fabrication trueness of additively manufactured implant-supported complete arch prostheses by comparing them to subtractively manufactured high-impact polymer-based prostheses.
Materials And Methods: An edentulous maxillary model with four implants at canine and first molar regions bilaterally was digitized (ATOS Core 80 5MP) to design a reference implant-supported complete arch prosthesis standard tessellation language file (RF-STL). The STL file was used to manufacture prostheses additively in five different orientations according to the build platform (AM-0, 0-degree; AM-15, 15-degree; AM-30, 30-degree; AM-45, 45-degree; AM-90, 90-degree) or subtractively (SM-HIP, control) (n = 10).

Background/aim: This study aims to evaluate and compare the impact absorption capacities of thermoformed ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) mouthguards and 3D-printed polyolefin mouthguards used in sports dentistry applications. The objective is to determine whether 3D-printed polyolefin mouthguards offer superior impact toughness compared to traditional EVA mouthguards commonly used in sports settings.
Materials And Methods: Six material samples were assessed: five pressure-formed EVA mouthguards (PolyShok, Buffalo Dental, Erkoflex, Proform, and Drufosoft) and one 3D-printed synthetic polymer (polyolefin).

Objectives: This case report describes a digital workflow for designing and 3D printing a guide with the dual purpose of gingivectomy and tooth preparation in the esthetic zone, to be followed by cementation of ceramic veneers under rubber dam isolation.
Clinical Considerations: The patient's primary concern was to improve her smile. After clinical evaluation, our recommendation was for a minimal gingivectomy to match the gingival zenith for both central incisors, to be followed by ceramic laminate veneers.

Objectives: To investigate the accuracy (trueness and precision) of wireless and wired intraoral scanners (IOSs) when scanning an implant with the combined healing abutment-scan body (CHA-SB) system.
Methods: A partially edentulous mandibular model with a CHA-SB at the right first molar site was digitized with 2 wireless (NeoScan 2000 (NW) and TRIOS 4 wireless (T4 W)) and 2 wired (NeoScan 1000 (N) and TRIOS 4 wired (T4)) IOSs 44 times in total (n = 11). The reference scan file was generated by digitizing the same master model and CHA-SB with an industrial-grade optical scanner.

Statement Of Problem: The maxillary lateral incisor is often congenitally missing in patients with a cleft palate. The congenital cleft presents the practitioner with challenges including quantity and quality of bone, a surgically managed cleft correction, and limited clinical space.
Purpose: The purpose of this investigation was to calculate the 5-year success and survival rate of narrow-diameter implants used to restore a missing lateral incisor in patients with a cleft palate.

Current flap-releasing designs for guided bone regeneration (GBR) emphasize preserving subperiosteal microvasculature by adapting a deep-slit approach, separating the periosteum from the flap.
