Background/objective: Acute lung injury (ALI) is a critical clinical syndrome with high rates of incidence and mortality. However, its molecular mechanism remains unclear. The current work aimed to explore the molecular mechanisms of ALI by identifying different expression genes (DEGs) and candidate drugs using a combination of chip analysis and experimental validation.

Background: Surgical implants are widely used in the medical field but their long-term performance is limited due to failure of integration with tissues. This manuscript describes very well-known problems associated with implants and discusses novel solutions used in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine that can be implemented in this uncommonly discussed medical area.

[The morphological study on masseter muscle following mandibular angle osteotomy].

Objective: To evaluate the morphological change of masseter after the mandibular angle osteotomy.

Methods: Computerized tomography (CT) examination was performed on 120 patients treated by mandibular angle osteotomy before operation and at 3, 6, 12 months after operation, respectively. The pre- and postoperative masseter muscle thickness and cross-sectional area were evaluated using 3D CT images observed from 3 selected slice planes, which were paralleled with Frankfurt horizontal plane.

[One case report of primary penile malignant lymphoma (with a review of 24 case reports)].

Methods: One case of rare primary penile malignant lymphoma was studied with regard to its primary clinical process and characteristics, differential diagnosis and therapeutic method. The application value of the immunohistochemical features, in clinical diagnosis was analyzed.
