This work presents the synthesis, purification, and characterization of a molten salt fuel for the irradiation experiment SALIENT-03 (SALt Irradiation ExperimeNT), a collaborative effort between the Nuclear Research and Consultancy Group and the Joint Research Centre, European Commission. The primary objective of the project is to investigate the corrosion behavior of selected Ni-alloy based structural materials which are being considered for the construction of fluoride molten salt reactors. During the test, these materials will be exposed to selected liquid molten fuel salts under irradiation in the High Flux Reactor in Petten, the Netherlands.

Despite high genetic heritability, the majority of clinically diagnosed ASD cases have unknown genetic origins. We performed genome sequencing on mothers, fathers, and affected individuals from 104 families with ASD in Oman, a Middle Eastern country underrepresented in international genetic studies.

The Role of ctDNA in the Management of Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer in the AI and NGS Era.

Liquid biopsy (LB) involves the analysis of circulating tumour-derived DNA (ctDNA), providing a minimally invasive method for gathering both quantitative and qualitative information. Genomic analysis of ctDNA through next-generation sequencing (NGS) enables comprehensive genetic profiling of tumours, including non-driver alterations that offer prognostic insights. LB can be applied in both early-stage disease settings, for the diagnosis and monitoring of minimal residual disease (MRD), and advanced disease settings, for monitoring treatment response and understanding the mechanisms behind disease progression and tumour heterogeneity.

: As long-term prescription opioid use is associated with increased morbidity and mortality, timely dose reduction of prescription opioids should be considered. However, most research has been conducted on patients using heroin. Given the differences between prescription and illicit opioid use, the aim of this review was to provide an overview of pharmacological strategies to reduce prescription opioid use or improve clinical outcomes for people who experience long-term prescription opioid use, including those with opioid use disorder.

Systematic review of standalone implantation of MINIject or iStent inject with at least 24 months of follow up. The mean and standard deviation of IOP and the number of IOP-lowering medications at baseline and at 24 months were extracted.

: The objective of our study was to evaluate the association and frequency of subcutaneous lymphedema in patients with gout primarily affecting the feet. : In 79 patients with acute gout, ultrasound (US) and dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) were performed to assess the presence of subcutaneous edema and extra- and intra-articular gouty deposits.
