Nickelacyclobutanes are reactive intermediates in catalytic cycles involving cyclopropanation and insertion reactions. The stoichiometric study of these intermediates has shown that their reactivity is highly influenced by the coordination environment of the nickel center. A pentacoordinated nickelacyclobutane embedded in a diphosphine pincer ligand has been shown to selectively undergo various reactions with exogenous ligands, including [2+2] cycloreversion and carbene transfer to an isocyanide.

Chiral objects are abundant in nature, and although the enantiomers have almost identical physical properties apart from their handedness, they can exhibit significantly different chemical properties and biological functions. This underscores the importance of sorting chiral substances. In this Letter, we demonstrate that chirality-sorting optical force pairs can be inversely generated in a tightly focused Gaussian beam by tailoring the input polarization state.

Objective: To describe presentation, treatment and outcome of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) associated-vasculitis in cancer patients in a multicentre study.
Methods: Thanks to the ImmunoCancer International Registry (ICIR), a multidisciplinary network focused on the research of the immune related adverse events related to cancer immunotherapies, patients presenting with a clinical and/or radiological suspicion of vasculitis, and histological evidence of vasculitis after being exposed to ICIs were retrospectively identified.
Results: Twenty eight cases were identified in the ICIR registry.

Background: Structured and standardized documentation is critical for accurately recording diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and patient progress in health care. Manual documentation can be labor-intensive and error-prone, especially under time constraints, prompting interest in the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) to automate and optimize these processes, particularly in medical documentation.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of ChatGPT (OpenAI) in generating radiology reports from dental panoramic radiographs, comparing the performance of AI-generated reports with those manually created by dental students.

The intestinal mucosal barrier is a dynamic system that allows nutrient uptake, stimulates healthy microbe-host interactions, and prevents invasion by pathogens. The mucosa consists of epithelial cells connected by cellular junctions that regulate the passage of nutrients covered by a mucus layer that plays an important role in host-microbiome interactions. Mimicking the intestinal mucosa for assays, particularly the generation of a mucus layer, has proven to be challenging.

Traditional adhesives often result in irreversible bonds, hindering disassembly and recycling processes. In response to the growing demand for sustainable practices, researchers have explored alternative bonding solutions. Debonding-on-demand adhesives represent a breakthrough, enabling selective weakening or breaking of adhesive bonds when desired and facilitating efficient disassembly, repair, and recycling of bonded materials.

Background: Intracerebral schwannomas are rare tumors resembling their peripheral nerve sheath counterparts but localized in the CNS. They are not classified as a separate tumor type in the 2021 WHO classification. This study aimed to compile and characterize these rare neoplasms morphologically and molecularly.

Phosphor-converted micro-light emitting diodes (micro-LEDs) are a crucial technology for display applications but face significant challenges in light extraction because of the high refractive index of the blue pump die chip. In this study, we design and experimentally demonstrate a nanophotonic approach that overcomes this issue, achieving up to a 3-fold increase in light extraction efficiency. Our approach involves engineering the local density of optical states (LDOS) to generate quasi-guided modes within the phosphor layer by strategically inserting a thin low-index spacer in combination with a metasurface for mode extraction.

Background And Purpose: Despite evolving management strategies for atypical cartilaginous tumors (ACT)-shifting from radical resection to intralesional curettage and "wait-and-scan" approaches-there remains no universal consensus on optimal treatment. We primarily aimed to evaluate disease-specific and progression-free survival following intralesional curettage and adjuvant phenol treatment of ACTs. Secondary aims included assessing surgical complications, the need for additional interventions, and an overview of long-term follow-up.

Background: To date, most large surveys on the mental health of children under 11 years old have relied exclusively on data collected from parents and teachers, with no information from children themselves. However, these children are valuable informants despite their young age.
Objective: To evaluate the effects of adding young children's self-evaluation of internalizing disorders to a combined teacher/parent-based algorithm using data from a European survey carried out in Italy, Bulgaria, and in the Netherlands.

Development of chiral organic materials with a strong chiroptical response is crucial to advance technologies based on circularly polarized luminescence, enantioselective sensing, or unique optical signatures in anti-counterfeiting. The progress in the field is hampered by the lack of structure-property relationships that would help designing new chiral molecules. Here, we address this challenge by synthesis and investigation of two chiral macrocycles that integrate in their structure a pseudo-meta [2.

The hydration of salt hydrates is often described as a solution mediated nucleation and growth mechanism, occurring between a reagent and a product in thermodynamic equilibrium with each other. If a system possesses more than one hydrate phase, the kinetic pathway may involve additional mechanisms due to the formation of intermediate hydrate species. We elected CuSO as our model system and analyzed the pathway leading from CuSO·HO (C1H) to CuSO·5HO (C5H), while CuSO·3HO (C3H) being a possible intermediate.

Understanding the nature and onset of neurophysiological changes, and the selective vulnerability of central hub regions in the functional network, may aid in managing the growing impact of Alzheimer's disease on society. However, the precise neurophysiological alterations occurring in the pre-clinical stage of human Alzheimer's disease remain controversial. This study aims to provide increased insights on quantitative neurophysiological alterations during a true early stage of Alzheimer's disease.

Microphysiological systems (MPS) and Organs-on-Chips (OoCs) hold significant potential for replicating complex human biological processes . However, their widespread adoption by industry and regulatory bodies depends on effective qualification to demonstrate that these models are fit for purpose. Many models developed in academia are not initially designed with qualification in mind, which limits their future implementation in end-user settings.
