Introduction: Most studies on risk factors for a SARS-CoV-2 infection were conducted in the pre-vaccination era with many non-pharmaceutical prevention measures in place. We investigated risk factors for symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infections in vaccinated persons in a period with a varying degree of prevention measures.

Methods: In a test-negative case control study among vaccinated adults attending community COVID-19 testing locations between June 1st 2021 till February 28th 2022, we compared symptomatic cases with symptomatic controls (to study risk factors specific for SARS-CoV-2) and with asymptomatic controls (to study risk factors that could apply to respiratory infections in general).

Advancing Delirium Treatment Trials in Older Adults: Recommendations for Future Trials From the Network for Investigation of Delirium: Unifying Scientists (NIDUS).

Objectives: To summarize the delirium treatment trial literature, identify the unique challenges in delirium treatment trials, and formulate recommendations to address each in older adults.

Omicron, although highly infectious, causes fewer maternal and neonatal complications than earlier VOC, so vaccination may be considered unnecessary in planned pregnancy. Introduction: Chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP) represents a widely underdiagnosed and often poorly treated medical problem, affecting 10-50% of all surgical patients, exhibiting neuropathic features in 35-60%. It is hypothesised that surgery-induced tissue damage and the subsequent immune response cause sensory alterations in the early postoperative period, ultimately leading to a chronic neuropathic or nociplastic pain state.
