Intraparotid facial nerve schwannoma (IFNS) is rarely observed in children compared with adults. Only a few cases have been reported in the literature. After radiological imaging and fine needle aspiration biopsy, an IFNS diagnosis may be skipped and confused with pleomorphic adenoma, which has a high prevalence among patients who have a mass in the parotid gland.

Abusive head trauma is a serious form of child abuse and mostly seen in infants below the age of two years as a result of a strong shaking by the caregiver who aims to stop the infant's crying. Characteristic symptoms include subdural hematomas, encephalopathy, retinal hemorrhages and fractures of the long bones. When physically examined, there are generally no externally visible signs.

Frontal sinus back table fractures are seen rarely; also, typical presentation of frontal sinus encephalocele as a delayed complication of frontal sinus fracture is seen more rarely. We present a case of frontal encephalocele and recurrent meningitis as delayed complications of craniofacial trauma. Diagnosis, management, and treatment approaches of these complications are discussed.
