Ischemic colitis (IC) is a multifaceted condition that often manifests with nonspecific symptoms such as abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea, particularly in older adults with vascular risk factors. Diagnosis is supported by elevated levels of white blood cells, lactate, and C-reactive protein (CRP). Computed tomography (CT) imaging typically reveals wall thickening and fat stranding in watershed areas.

Background: Oxyberberine (OBB) is a naturally occurring isoquinoline alkaloid that is believed to possess various health-promoting properties, including anti-fungus, hepatoprotection, anti-inflammation, and anti-intestinal mucositis effects. Despite several studies reporting the health benefits of OBB in treating ulcerative colitis (UC), its specific mechanism of action has yet to be fully elucidated.
Purpose: This investigation is designed to explore the potential protective efficacy of OBB and the latent mechanism using an model of UC-like inflammatory intestinal cells.

The main characteristics of Parkinson's disease (PD) are the loss of dopaminergic (DA) neurons and abnormal aggregation of cytosolic proteins. However, the exact pathogenesis of PD remains unclear, with ferroptosis emerging as one of the key factors driven by iron accumulation and lipid peroxidation. Glial cells, including microglia, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes, serve as supportive cells in the central nervous system (CNS), but their abnormal activation can lead to DA neuron death and ferroptosis.

Background: Subcortical vascular mild cognitive impairment (svMCI) frequently occurs alongside depression symptoms, significantly affecting patients' quality of life. While cognitive decline and depression symptoms are linked to cerebellar changes, the specific relationship between these changes and cognitive status in svMCI patients with depression symptoms remains unclear.
Objective: This study aimed to investigates the gray matter volume and functional alterations in the cerebellum of svMCI patients, with and without depression symptoms, and their correlation with cognitive and depressive symptoms.

Purpose: To explore the relationship between paraspinal muscle degeneration and cervical spondylosis through cervical spine MRI and lateral X-ray.
Methods: A retrospective study included 83 cervical spondylosis patients as the experimental group, consisting of 28 axial joint pain (Group A), 29 cervical radiculopathy (Group B), and 26 myelopathy (Group C), as well as 29 healthy individuals as the control group (Group D). The cross-sectional area (CSA) of paraspinal muscles at the C3-4, C4-5, and C5-6 segments was measured, including the deep extensor area (DEA), deep flexor area (DFA), and superficial extensor area (SEA).

Purpose: Kuiyangling is a traditional Chinese medicine formula used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis, but the specific mechanism remains unclear. Imbalance in NETs regulation is one of the important factors contributing to the onset of ulcerative colitis (UC). The HuR/VDR signaling pathway plays a significant role in restoring the intestinal mucosal barrier in UC.

Background: This study aims to assess the comparative effectiveness and safety of robotic-assisted surgery (RAS), laparoscopy (LPS), and laparotomy (LPT) in improving perioperative indicators, lymph node dissection, and tumor survival outcomes in patients with Endometrial carcinoma (EC) through a systematic review and network meta-analysis.
Materials And Methods: We searched China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, WeiPu, China Biology Medicine Disc, Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and Cohort studies (CSs) involving RAS, LPS and LPT in individuals with EC. The network meta-analysis employed a Bayesian framework to integrate direct and indirect evidence, calculating Odds Ratios (OR) and Mean Difference (MD).

Cerebrovascular diseases are major global health issues, responsible for significant morbidity and mortality. Basigin (additionally called CD147 or EMMPRIN) is a glycosylated transmembrane protein that facilitates intercellular communication. Recent research has highlighted the critical role of Basigin in inducing matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which contribute to the progression of cerebrovascular diseases.

Despite the critical importance of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) in CHF management, while studies have explored the effectiveness of various CR delivery modes and offered valuable context-specific insights, their relative efficacy remains inconsistent across different patient groups, healthcare environments, and intervention approaches. A clearer understanding requires comprehensive comparisons and in-depth analyses to address these variations.

Central post-stroke pain (CPSP) is a chronic neuropathic pain syndrome that commonly occurs after cerebral stroke, and it severely impairs the daily activities of stroke patients. A number of fundamental and clinical studies support the theory that CPSP is mainly caused by ischemic and hemorrhagic injury of the spinal-thalamic-cortical neural pathway. However, the underlying reasons of CPSP genesis and development are far from clear.

Objective: To investigate the association between polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and inflammatory proteins, and to identify and quantify the role of serum metabolites as potential mediators.
Methods: Utilizing summary-level data from a genome-wide association study (GWAS), we conducted a two-sample Mendelian Randomization (MR) analysis, a genetic approach that uses genetic variants as instrumental variables to assess the causal relationships between risk factors and outcomes. This analysis involved genetically predicted PCOS (1,639 cases and 218,970 controls) and inflammatory proteins (14,824 participants of primarily European descent).

Bone is a richly innervated and vascularized tissue, whereas nerve-vascular network reconstruction was often ignored in biomaterial design, resulting in delayed or incomplete bone healing. Inspired by the bone injury microenvironments, here we report a controllable drug delivery strategy using a pH and reactive oxygen species (ROS) dual-response injectable hydrogel. Based on the dynamic borate ester bond covalent crosslinking, nano-hydroxyapatite (HA) and curculigoside (CCG) are integrated into PVA/TSPBA (PT) to construct a responsive injectable hydrogel (PTHC), which scavenges excessive ROS from the injury microenvironment and responsively releases HA and CCG, providing favorable homeostasis and sustained release drug delivery system for bone repair.
