Background: Although red cell distribution width (RDW) is widely observed in clinical practice, only a few studies have looked at all-cause mortality in unselected critically ill patients, and there are even fewer studies on long-term mortality. The goal of our study was to explore the prediction and inference of mortality in unselected critically ill patients by assessing RDW levels.

Methods: We obtained demographic information, laboratory results, prevalence data, and vital signs from the unselected critically ill patients using the publicly available MIMIC-III database.

Background: COVID-19 pandemic continues, clarifying signatures in clinical characters and antibody responses between severe and non-severe COVID-19 cases would benefit the prognosis and treatment.

Methods: In this study, 119 serum samples from 37 severe or non-severe COVID-19 patients from the First People's Hospital of Yueyang were collected between January 25 and February 18 2020. The clinical features, antibody responses targeting SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (S) and its different domains, SARS-CoV-2-specific Ig isotypes, IgG subclasses, ACE2 competitive antibodies, binding titers with FcγIIa and FcγIIb receptors, and 14 cytokines were comprehensively investigated.

A solitary fibrous tumour (SFT) is a mesenchymal tumour that exhibits fibroblast differentiation and rarely occurs in the retroperitoneum. The main purpose of this study was to explore the clinical manifestation, histopathological features and biological behaviour of retroperitoneal SFT. From 2011 to 2020, 31 patients were hospitalized and diagnosed with retroperitoneal SFTs.

In this randomized phase 3 trial, we compared the efficacy and safety of chiglitazar with sitagliptin in patients with type 2 diabetes who had insufficient glycemic control despite a strict diet and exercise regimen. Eligible patients were randomized (1:1:1) to receive chiglitazar 32 mg (n = 245), chiglitazar 48 mg (n = 246), or sitagliptin 100 mg (n = 248) once daily for 24 weeks.
