Previous studies reported that depressive symptoms were associated with a high risk of all-cause mortality. However, the effect of different long-term depressive symptom trajectory patterns on the risk of all-cause mortality has not been evaluated. Our research aimed to explore the association between different depressive symptom trajectories and the risk of all-cause mortality in Chinese adults.

Background: Despite the insights into the role of aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A1 (ALDH1A1) in various liver diseases, the expression and its prognostic significance in patients with hepatitis E virus-related acute liver failure (HEV-ALF) remain unclear. This study delved into the assessment of serum exosome-derived ALDH1A1 expression and its prognostic implications for HEV-ALF patients.

Methods: Between January 2018 and December 2023, a total of 226 individuals with acute hepatitis E (AHE) and 210 patients with HEV-ALF were recruited from member units of Chinese Consortium for the Study of Hepatitis E.

Glioblastoma is a highly aggressive primary brain tumor with glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) enforcing the intra-tumoral hierarchy. Plasma cells (PCs) are critical effectors of the B-lineage immune system, but their roles in glioblastoma remain largely unexplored. Here, we leverage single-cell RNA and B cell receptor sequencing of tumor-infiltrating B-lineage cells and reveal that PCs are aberrantly enriched in the glioblastoma-infiltrating B-lineage population, experience low level of somatic hypermutation, and are associated with poor prognosis.

Background: Although several clinical studies have demonstrated that hippocampus volume loss in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) may be a significant predictor of cognition, no consensus has been reached. To investigate the alterations of the intrinsic ,hippocampal morphological networks in cognitively impaired NMOSD patients and their correlations with cognitive performance.
