Background: At present, few articles compare the differences between robot-assisted thoracic surgeries (RATSs) and video-assisted thoracic surgeries (VATSs) in the day surgery model and there is also little literature on what factors influence delayed discharge from day surgery. This study aims to compare short-term outcomes between RATS and VATS for segmental lung resection in a day surgery setting, and to identify risk factors for delayed discharge.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 204 patients with early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who underwent segmental lung resection via RATS or VATS at the First People's Hospital of Changzhou City from January 2021 to December 2023.

Background: Tooth agenesis is a common dental anomaly that can substantially affect both the ability to chew and the esthetic appearance of patients. This study aims to identify possible genetic factors that underlie various forms of tooth agenesis and to investigate the possible molecular mechanisms through which human dental pulp stem cells may play a role in this condition.

Results: Using whole-exome sequencing of a Han Chinese family with non-syndromic tooth agenesis, a rare mutation in FGFR1 (NM_001174063.

Background: Laryngeal carcinoma is a primary malignant tumor originating from the laryngeal mucosa. In recent years, an increasing number of studies have confirmed that Helicobacter pylori may play a role in the occurrence and development of laryngeal cancer. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to identify and emphasize the relationship between laryngeal cancer and Helicobacter pylori infection.

Background: Laryngeal carcinoma is a primary malignant tumor originating from the laryngeal mucosa, and its pathogenesis is not fully understood. It is a rare type of cancer that shows a downward trend in the 5-year survival rate. In clinical practice, dysregulated microRNAs are often observed in patients with laryngeal cancer.

Objective: To observe the effects of moxibustion at different temperatures (38 ℃ and 45 ℃) on blood lipoids and serum level of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) and nitric oxide (NO) in rats with hyperlipidemia, and to explore the correlation between regulating blood fat and anti-oxidative stress and protection of vascular endothelium of moxibustion at 45 ℃.

Methods: According to random number table, 60 SD rats were randomly divided into a normal group, a model group, a moxibustion at 38 ℃ group and a moxibustion at 45 ℃ group, 15 rats in each group. The rats in the normal group received no treatment; the rats in the remaining three groups were fed with high-fat diet for 8 weeks to prepare rat models of hyperlipidemia.

MicroRNA-625-3p promotes cell migration of oral squamous cell carcinoma by regulating SCAI expression.

Eur Rev Med Pharmacol Sci

January 2019

Department of Stomatology, The Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University, The First People's Hospital of Changzhou City, Changzhou, China.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of microRNA-625-3p in the occurrence and progression of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and its underlying mechanism.

Patients And Methods: Expression levels of microRNA-625-3p, SCAI and E-cadherin in OSCC tissues and paracancerous tissues were detected by quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). MicroRNA-625-3p expression in OSCC tissues with different tumor stages and lymph node metastasis stages was analyzed.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of needling depth on clinical efficacy of lumbar disc herniation (LDH).

Methods: Ten electronic databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), Wanfang Database, MEDLINE, CENTRAL, CINAHL PLUS, AMED, Embase, PsycINFO, and 6 registry platforms of clinical trials were searched. All randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared the effect of needling depth on clinical efficacy of LDH were collected; in addition, the reference lists of the studies included were hand searched.

Two patients with multiple lung metastases (≥ 5) were treated using frameless stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) on an Elekta Axesse linear accelerator equipped with an interdigitation-capable multileaf collimator and four-dimensional cone-beam CT (4D CBCT). The technique and the early clinical outcomes were evaluated. Patient A with five lung metastases and Patient B with seven lung metastases underwent SBRT (48 Gy/8 fractions for Patient A, 42 Gy/7 fractions for Patient B).
