Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related mortality. LncRNA NORAD is frequently upregulated and positively associated with various cancer progressions. We discovered NORAD was significantly upregulated in CRC tissues and cells.

[Clinical characteristics of appendix orifice polyps and the effect endoscopic super minimally invasive treatment].

To analyze the clinical characteristics of appendiceal orifice polyps and the effect of endoscopic super minimally invasive treatment. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the general situation (age and sex), the classification of appendiceal orifice polyps, the treatment method under endoscope, postoperative pathology and postoperative complications in patients who underwent resection of appendiceal orifice polyps at the Peking University First Hospital and the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2023. A total of 47 patients were included, consisting of 28 males and 19 females, with 35-86 (61±12) years.

Evaluation of the mechanical properties of porcine kidney.

With the development of medical diagnosis and treatment, knowing the mechanical properties of living tissues becomes critical. The aim of this study was to investigation material properties of the fresh porcine kidney and the parametric characterization of its viscoelastic material behavior. The material investigation included uniaxial tension tests in different strain rates, relaxation tests, as well as hydrostatic compression tests on the samples extracted from the fresh porcine kidney cortex.

Classification of and individual treatment strategies for complex tethered cord syndrome.

Objective: To study the classification, diagnosis, and treatment strategies of complex tethered cord syndrome (C-TCS) on the basis of the patients' clinical symptoms, imaging findings, and therapeutic schedule.

Methods: The clinical data of 126 patients with C-TCS admitted to our department from January 2015 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Classification criteria for C-TCS were established by analyzing the causes of C-TCS.

Preventing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in rats with pulsed 810 nm laser transcranial phototherapy.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating condition that occurs following exposure to traumatic events. Current treatments, such as psychological debriefing and pharmacotherapy, often have limited efficacy and may result in unwanted side effects, making early intervention is a more desirable strategy. In this study, we investigated the efficacy of a single dose of pulsed (10 Hz) 810 nm laser-phototherapy (P-PT) as an early intervention for preventing PTSD-like comorbidities in rats induced by single inescapable electric foot shock following the single prolonged stress (SPS&S).

Two cases of spontaneous rupture of the uterine artery in the perinatal period: A case report.

Rationale: Uterine artery spontaneous rupture is a rare but potentially life-threatening complication during pregnancy and puerperium. The lack of typical symptoms makes it difficult to diagnose, which can result in serious consequences for both the mother and fetus.

Patient Concerns: Case 1 presented with fainting and lower abdominal discomfort, while Case 2 developed hypotension after delivery and remained in poor condition even after rehydration.

Preparation of uniform-sized GeXIVA[1,2]-loaded PLGA microspheres as long-effective release system with high encapsulation efficiency.

The purpose of this study was to prepare GeXIVA[1,2] PLGA microspheres by W/O/W re-emulsification-solvent evaporation technology and to develop sustained-release formulations to meet the clinical treatment needs of chronic neuropathic pain. Through prescription optimization, the uniformity of particle size and the encapsulation efficiency is improved, so as to achieve the quality standard of the microspheres. The mechanism of trehalose improving the stability of GeXIVA[1,2] was studied and verified by molecular simulation.

[Effect of early goal directed sedation on cerebral oxygen metabolism in patients with acute brain injury].

Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted. A total of 108 patients with acute brain injury admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Third Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from January 2015 to December 2019 were enrolled.

To investigate the effect of gonadotropin (Gn) on embryo aneuploidy rate and pregnancy outcome during preimplanptation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) cycles. The clinical data of patients undergoing PGT-A cycle at the First Medical Center of the PLA General Hospital from January 1, 2013 to May 31, 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were divided into younger patient group (<35 years old) and elder patient group (≥35 years old) by maternal age, then divided into two groups in line with Gn dosage (≤2 250 U, >2 250 U), and into four groups by number of oocytes retrieved (1-5, 6-10, 11-15 and ≥16 oocytes).
