Ethnopharmacological Relevance: WuHuTang (WHT) is a traditional Chinese medicine compound for treating asthma, and the evidence supports that it has a good effect on acute asthma attacks in children and adults. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is an important factor in the pathogenesis of acute asthma attacks, and the effect on dendritic cells is the key to its pathogenesis. Previous studies have confirmed that the pathogenesis of viruses is related to exosomes.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs) can develop throughout the entire gastrointestinal tract, but these tumours are usually found in the stomach and small intestine. In this case, a rare GIST arising from the anal canal was investigated using high-frequency endoanal ultrasound and external three-dimensional ultrasound with tomographic ultrasound imaging. The endoanal approach revealed the inner structure of the tumour.

Ageing is an inevitable process that affects various tissues and organs of the human body, leading to a series of physiological and pathological changes. Mechanisms such as telomere depletion, stem cell depletion, macrophage dysfunction, and cellular senescence gradually manifest in the body, significantly increasing the incidence of diseases in elderly individuals. These mechanisms interact with each other, profoundly impacting the quality of life of older adults.

Plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles (PELNs) are natural nanocarriers and effective delivery systems for plant microRNAs (miRNAs). These PELN-carrying plant miRNAs can regulate mammalian genes across species, thereby increasing the diversity of miRNAs in mammals and exerting multi-target effects that play a crucial role in diseases, particularly cancer. PELNs demonstrate exceptional stability, biocompatibility, and targeting capabilities that protect and facilitate the up-take and cross-kingdom communication of plant miRNAs in mammals.

Chronic infections caused by the pathogenic biofilms on implantable medical devices pose an increasing challenge. To combat long-term biofilm-associated infections, we developed a novel dual-functional polymer coating with antibacterial and antifouling properties. The coating consists of N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP) and 3-(acrylamido)phenylboronic acid (APBA) copolymer brushes, which bind to curcumin (Cur) as antibacterial molecules through acid-responsive boronate ester bonds.
