Background: The etiology of depression involves many biological and environmental factors, among which the inflammatory process is an important contributor. However, the role of pro-inflammatory cytokines in postmenopausal depression is unclear. Therefore, we aimed to explore the association between the serum concentrations of four pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-18, and TNF-α) and depressive symptoms in postmenopausal women who had been receiving menopause hormone therapy (MHT) for at least 6 months and postmenopausal women who had not received MHT.

It has been proven that robot-assisted rehabilitation training can effectively promote the recovery of upper-limb motor function in post-stroke patients. Increasing patients' active participation by providing assist-as-needed (AAN) control strategies is key to the effectiveness of robot-assisted rehabilitation training. In this paper, a greedy assist-as-needed (GAAN) controller based on radial basis function (RBF) network combined with 3 degrees of freedom (3-DOF) potential constraints was proposed to provide AAN interactive forces of an end-effect upper limb rehabilitation robot.

MAPKK4 has been implicated in the pathological mechanisms underlying myocardial and vascular injury, specifically influencing endothelial cell damage and programmed cell death via subcellular pathways. Nevertheless, the regulatory role of MAPKK4 in coronary microvascular injury following myocardial infarction remains unconfirmed, and the exploration of targeted mitochondrial protective therapeutic agents remains unaddressed. In light of this gap, we established a MAPKK4 gene-modified mouse model of ischemia-reperfusion injury and employed Buyang Huanwu decoction (BYHW), a traditional cardiovascular therapeutic formula, to assess its efficacy in treating coronary microvascular injury post-ischemia-reperfusion.

Objective: To explore the molecular mechanism of chronic osteomyelitis and to clarify the role of MAPK signal pathway in the pathogenesis of chronic osteomyelitis, by collecting and analyzing the transcriptional information of bone tissue in patients with chronic osteomyelitis.
Methods: Four cases of traumatic osteomyelitis in limbs from June 2019 to June 2020 were selected, and the samples of necrotic osteonecrosis from chronic osteomyelitis (necrotic group), and normal bone tissue (control group) were collected. Transcriptome information was collected by Illumina Hiseq Xten high throughput sequencing platform, and the gene expression in bone tissue was calculated by FPKM.
