Efficacy and safety of ZX-7101A, an inhibitor of influenza cap-dependent endonuclease, in adults with uncomplicated influenza: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2/3 trial.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ZX-7101A: an inhibitor of influenza viral cap-dependent endonuclease, in adults with uncomplicated influenza and explore treatment-emergent resistance.

Methods: We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, adaptive-design phase 2 and phase 3 studies (ZX-7101A-202) in adults with uncomplicated influenza. Eligible patients were randomized 1:1:1 to receive a single dose of 40 or 80 mg ZX-7101A or placebo, stratified by body weight and baseline composite symptom score.

Association between rheumatoid arthritis and serum vitamin C levels in Adults: Based on the National health and Nutrition Examination survey database.

This study attempted to investigate relationship between rheumatoid arthritis and serum vitamin C levels using data from National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The NHANES database aims to collect health, nutrition, biological, and behavioral data from a nationally representative sample of the population. This study utilizes NHANES data from three cycles: 2003-2004, 2005-2006, and 2017-2018, extracting data on the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis and serum vitamin C levels.

Effects of CD100 promote wound healing in diabetic mice.

Diabetes is a condition that causes delayed wound healing and results in chronic wounds. CD100 has been reported to promote and induce potent and obvious angiogenesis both in vivo and in vitro studies, the absence of which are a main cause of the diabetic chronic wound. In the present study, we investigated the effects of application of soluble CD100 on wound healing in diabetic mice.

Penehyclidine hydrochloride postconditioning ameliorates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury: critical role of mitochondrial ATP sensitive potassium channel.

Cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (CI/R) leads to disability and death worldwide. However, limited approaches have been made in developing therapies to decrease the detrimental effects of CI/R. In the present study, we evaluated the effects of penehyclidine hydrochloride (PHC) postconditioning on CI/R injury and elucidated the underlying mechanisms.
