miR-182 promotes cervical cancer progression via activating the Wnt/β-catenin axis.

Cervical cancer (CC) is among the leading causes of cancer-associated mortality in women worldwide; yet the molecular regulators involved in its progression are unclear. This study found that miR-182 was overexpressed in CC tissues when compared with adjacent normal tissues. Moreover, it found that miR-182 expression was significantly positively correlated with distant metastasis in patients with CC.

Ultrasound identification of hepatic echinococcosis using a deep convolutional neural network model in China: a retrospective, large-scale, multicentre, diagnostic accuracy study.

Background: Ultrasonography is the most widely used technique to diagnose echinococcosis; however, challenges in using this technique and the demand on medical resources, especially in low-income or remote areas, can delay diagnosis. We aimed to develop a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) model based on ultrasonography to identify echinococcosis and its types, especially alveolar echinococcosis.

Methods: This retrospective, large-scale, multicentre study used ultrasound images from patients assessed at 84 hospitals in China, obtained between Jan 1, 2002, and Dec 31, 2021.

Objective: To explore the effect of hemodialysis plus calcitriol on cardiac function and BNP in patients with hyperparathyroidism secondary to nephropathy.

Methods: In this retrospective study, a total of 80 patients with nephropathy secondary to hyperparathyroidism treated in our hemodialysis center from January 2018 to January 2020 were included. The patients were divided into a combination group (n=50) and a control group (n=30) according to treatment plan.

Comparison of recombinant human FSH biosimilar QL1012 with Gonal-f® for ovarian stimulation: a phase-three trial.

Research Question: Are QL1012 and Gonal-f® equivalent in women undergoing ovarian stimulation for assisted reproductive technology (ART)?

Design: This multicentre, randomized, assessor-blinded, phase-three trial was conducted at 13 centres in China. Eligible patients were infertile women; age 20-39 years; body mass index 18-30 kg/m; regular menstrual cycles; and indication for ART. After successful pituitary downregulation, patients were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive QL1012 or Gonal-f®, stratified by age (initial dose of 75-150 IU for women younger than 30 years, 150-225 IU for women aged 30-34 years and 225-300 IU for women aged ≥35 years, subcutaneously, once daily).

[Correlation between serum autotaxin level and pulmonary ultrasound score with the disease severity and 28-day mortality in patients with acute respiratory disease syndrome].

To investigate the relationship between serum autocrine motor factor (Autotaxin) level and pulmonary ultrasound score (LUS) and the disease severity and 28-day mortality of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Totally 142 ARDS patients admitted to Danzhou People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected, and serum Autotaxin level and LUS score of ARDS patients on the day of onset were detected. According to the survival within 28 days after entering the intensive care unit, ARDS patients were divided into survival group (86 cases) and death group (56 cases).

To explore the metabolite profile and metabolic pathways of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM). Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was employed for the high-throughput detection and identification of serum samples from 55 patients with MM and 37 healthy controls matched for age and sex from 2016 to 2017 collected at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of quality control (QC) samples was employed to validate the reproducibility of GC-MS approach.

Denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) in Chinese postmenopausal osteoporotic women: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter phase III study.

Objectives: This study assessed the efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics (PK), and immunogenicity profiles of a denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) in Chinese postmenopausal osteoporotic women with a high risk of fracture.

Methods: In this multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial, 448 postmenopausal women aged 50-85 years with osteoporosis were enrolled at 49 centers in China and were randomly assigned (3:1) to receive 60 ​mg of the denosumab biosimilar (LY06006) or placebo subcutaneously every 6 months for 1 year. Lumbar spine bone mineral density (BMD) change was the primary endpoint.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) originates from the hepatopathy of fatty liver. Pirfenidone is a novel broad-spectrum anti-fibrosis agent used for treating various kinds of tissue fibrosis. The present study will evaluate the effects of Pirfenidone on liver injury in high-fat diet (HFD)-fed mice to evaluate the value of Pirfenidone in treating NAFLD.

Objective: A case-control study was conducted to explore the application value of PDCA cycle regulation combined with nursing label in nursing safety and quality regulation in disinfection supply centers.

Methods: The medical staff in the disinfection supply center of our hospital from January 2020 to December 2020 and from January 2021 to December 2021 were included in the control group (routine nursing regulation,  = 13) and the research group (PDCA circulation nursing regulation,  = 13). The differences in quality evaluation, disinfection qualification, quality regulation effect, supply satisfaction, job satisfaction, safety awareness, and comprehensive operation skills of nursing staff were compared, and the application value of PDCA cycle regulation combined with nursing label in nursing safety and quality regulation of disinfection supply center was comprehensively analyzed.

Aims: Guided by the biopsychosocial-spiritual model, this study aimed to evaluate the spiritual needs of Chinese women with breast cancer and explored factors associated with those spiritual needs.

Design: This study has a cross-sectional design.

Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 228 breast cancer patients in China, between May 2019 and July 2019.

IL-33/ST2 Activation Is involved in Ro60-Regulated Photosensitivity in Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus.

Interleukin- (IL-) 33 contributes to various inflammatory processes. IL-33/ST2 activation participates in systemic lupus erythematous via binding to the receptor of Suppression of Tumorigenicity 2 protein (ST2). However, whether IL-33/ST2 interferes with the nosogenesis of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) has not been reported so far.

Uveal melanoma (UM) represents the most common primary intraocular malignancy in adults and is characterized by aggressive behaviors and a lack of targeted therapies. Hypoxia-targeted therapy has become a promising new therapeutic strategy in tumors. LncRNA MCM3AP-AS1 Regulates miR-21/PTEN Axis to Affect Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cell Proliferation and Apoptosis.

LncRNA MCM3AP-AS1 has been reported to be upregulated and plays an oncogenic role in papillary thyroid cancer. However, analysis of the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset revealed MCM3AP-AS1 downregulation in cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). This observation encouraged us to analyze the function of MCM3AP-AS1 in CSCC.
