Background: There is increasing acknowledgment of the potential role that diet rich in antioxidants may play in the prevention of anemia. As a significant indicator of antioxidant-rich diet, the relationship between the composite dietary antioxidant index (CDAI) and anemia has not been extensively studied. Therefore, this study aims to explore the association between CDAI and anemia.

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the impact of APS on acute kidney injury induced by rhabdomyolysis (RIAKI), exploring its association with macrophage M1 polarization and elucidating the underlying mechanisms.
Methods: C57BL/6J mice were randomly assigned to one of three groups: a normal control group, a RIAKI model group, and an APS treatment group. Techniques such as flow cytometry and immunofluorescence were employed to demonstrate that APS can inhibit the transition of renal macrophages to the M1 phenotype in RIAKI.

Introduction: Perivascular Epithelioid Cell tumor (PEComa) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm characterized by the co-expression of melanocytic and myoid markers. While PEComas can arise in diverse anatomical sites, gastric PEComas are exceedingly rare, with merely nine cases documented in the extant literature.
Case Presentation: Herein, we have presented a case of gastric PEComa in a 65-year-old male patient who exhibited a 3-year history of epigastric pain, with notable exacerbation in the two months prior to diagnosis.

Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by the host's uncontrolled response to infection, and is one of the main causes of death in critically ill patients. Sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SA-AKI) is associated with the poor prognosis of sepsis patients, and its pathogenesis is complex and still unclear to this day. Mitochondrial dynamics is crucial for maintaining the normal morphology, quantity, number and function of mitochondria, which is a new research hotspot in recent years.

Introduction: Esculentoside A (EsA) is one of the main components of the traditional Chinese medicine Phytolacca esculenta. The possible mechanism of action of EsA in the treatment of lupus nephritis (LN) was explored by observing the effects of EsA on CD19+ IL-35+regulatory B (IL-35+Breg) cells.
Methods: Twenty-four MRL/lpr mice were randomly divided into control, EsA, and EsA+IL-12p35 antibody groups.

Background: Cholesterol crystals (CCs) are recognized as a risk factor for vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque rupture (PR) and major adverse cardiovascular events. However, their predictive factors and association with plaque vulnerability in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) remain insufficiently explored. Therefore, This study aims to investigate the association between CCs and plaque vulnerability in culprit lesions of AMI patients, identify the factors influencing CCs formation, and develop a predictive model for CCs.

The objective of this study was to identify and characterize oxidative stress (OS)-related biomarkers in bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) through a combination of bioinformatics analyses and wet experiments. The study utilized the Gene Expression Omnibus database to obtain the mRNA expression profile dataset GSE32472. Differential expression analysis and functional enrichment analysis were employed to investigate the role of OS-related genes in BPD.

Rationale And Objectives: This study aimed to employ deep learning techniques to analyze and validate an automatic prognostic biomarker for predicting outcomes following intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).
Materials And Methods: This study included patients with ICH whose onset-to-imaging time (OIT) was less than 6 h. Patients were randomly divided into training and test sets at a 7:3 ratio.
Aim: To assess the effect of intravenously injected superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle (SPION)-labeled adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) under an external magnetic field on the efficacy of ADSC transplantation in rats with spinal cord injury (SCI).
Material And Methods: ADSCs were isolated from rats, labeled with SPIONs, and divided into magnetic and non-magnetic groups. A rat model of SCI was established, and SCI rats were randomly divided into magnetic, non-magnetic, and control groups, with ten rats in each group.

Background: Studies have shown that Chinese Clinicians and nurses have positive attitudes toward ACP, but no local tools exist to assess their need for ACP knowledge and skills training. resulting in their inability to initiate ACP conversations as well as poor end-of-life care for patients. Therefore, this study aims to assess the needs of Chinese Clinicians and nurses for ACP knowledge and skills training and assess the validity and reliability of a questionnaire on the Training Needs for Advance Care Planning (TNACP) scale.

Background: According to current worldwide cancer data, Prostate Cancer (PC) ranks as the second most common type of cancer and is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related mortality among men worldwide. PC in China has the 10th highest number of new cases and the 13th highest fatality rate, both of which show an ongoing annual increase. One of the significant challenges with prostate cancer is the difficulty in early detection, often resulting in diagnosis at intermediate or late stages, complicating treatment.

Background: Drunkenness and alcoholic liver disease (ALD) are critical public health issues associated with significant morbidity and mortality due to chronic overconsumption of alcohol. Traditional remedies, such as bear bile powder, have been historically acclaimed for their hepatoprotective properties. This study assessed the efficacy of a biotransformed bear bile powder known as golden bile powder (GBP) in alleviating alcohol-induced drunkenness and ALD.

The aim of this study was to use multimodal imaging (contrast-enhanced T1-weighted (T1C), T2-weighted (T2), and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI)) to develop a radiomics model for preoperatively predicting venous sinus invasion in meningiomas. This prediction would assist in selecting the appropriate surgical approach and forecasting the prognosis of meningiomas. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 331 participants who had been pathologically diagnosed with meningiomas.

Abundant investigations have shown that hypobaric hypoxia (HH) causes cognitive impairment, mostly attributed to oxidative stress, inflammation, and apoptosis. HPN (4'-hydroxyl-2-subsitiuted phenylnitronyl nitroxide) is an excellent free radical scavenger with anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic activities. Our previous study has found that HPN exhibited neuroprotective effect on HH induced brain injury.

The high level of oxidative stress induced by angiotensin II (AngII) is the main pathophysiological process that promotes the proliferation and migration of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) and induces vascular remodeling. LncRNA metastasis-related lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1 (MALAT1) has been determined to play an important role in the modulation of oxidative stress and the development of cardiovascular diseases. Nevertheless, the function and underlying mechanism of MALAT1 in restenosis induced by hypertensive angioplasty remain unclear.
