Blood microbiome signatures in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) remain unclear. We profile blood microbiome using 16S rRNA gene sequencing in 77 controls and 64 children with new-onset T1D, and compared it with the gut and oral microbiomes. The blood microbiome of patients with T1D is characterized by increased diversity and perturbed microbial features, with a significant increase in potentially pathogenic bacteria compared with controls.

Gut dysbiosis has been linked to type 1 diabetes (T1D); however, microbial capacity in T1D remains unclear. Here, we integratively profiled gut microbial functional and metabolic alterations in children with new-onset T1D in independent cohorts and investigated the underlying mechanisms. In T1D, the microbiota was characterized by decreased butyrate production and bile acid metabolism and increased lipopolysaccharide biosynthesis at the species, gene, and metabolite levels.

Background: The real-world exposure levels of non-therapeutic antibiotics and neonicotinoids in type 1 diabetes (T1D) children and their associations as environmental triggers through gut microbiota shifts remained unknown. We thus investigated the antibiotics and neonicotinoids' exposure levels and their associations with gut microbiota in pediatric T1D.
Methods: Fifty-one newly onset T1D children along with 67 age-matched healthy controls were recruited.

To evaluate the clinical effect of auricular keloids resection combined with local injection of glucocorticoid and superficial X-ray treatment in order to identify a surgery-based, personalized, comprehensive treatment system. One hundred and sixty patients with auricular keloids were divided into four groups: surgery group, surgery combined with local injection of glucocorticoid group, surgery combined with superficial X-ray group and surgery combined with glucocorticoid and electron irradiation group (Triple therapy group). These groups were followed up for one year.

Objective: To summarize the complications after endorectal pull-through radical operation, Soave procedure, for Hirschsprung disease.
Methods: Clinical data of 286 cases with Hirschsprung disease who received Soave procedure and were proved by postoperative pathology in our hospital from February 2003 to February 2010 were analyzed retrospectively. All the patients were diagnosed with barium enema and anorectal manometry.
