Pulpotomy, which belongs to vital pulp therapy, has become a strategy for managing pulpitis in recent decades. This minimally invasive treatment reflects the recognition of preserving healthy dental pulp and optimizing long-term patient-centered outcomes. Pulpotomy is categorized into partial pulpotomy (PP), the removal of a partial segment of the coronal pulp tissue, and full pulpotomy (FP), the removal of whole coronal pulp, which is followed by applying the biomaterials onto the remaining pulp tissue and ultimately restoring the tooth.

A common digestive system cancer with a dismal prognosis and a high death rate globally is breast cancer (BRCA). BRCA recurrence, metastasis, and medication resistance are all significantly impacted by cancer stem cells (CSCs). However, the relationship between CSCs and the tumor microenvironment in BRCA individuals remains unknown, and this information is critically needed.

Department of Oncology, Tangdu Hospital, The Air Force Medical University, No.569 Xinsi Road, Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, 710038, China.

Objective: To compare the pharmacokinetics and adverse effects of cisplatin administered via intravenous infusion for systemic chemotherapy (SC) versus injection into the perfusate during hyperthermic intrathoracic chemotherapy (HITHOC) or hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC).

Methods: Total 60 patients who received SC, HITHOC, or HIPEC in the Department of Oncology, Tangdu Hospital, were enrolled into this study. After administering same dose of cisplatin (40 mg) via either intravenous infusion (SC group) or injection into the perfusate during the HITHOC or HIPEC procedure, concentration of cisplatin in the plasma as well as in the hyperthermic perfusate at various time points was quantified by HPLC analysis.

Electronic address:

Background: Preimplantation genetic testing for chromosomal structural rearrangements (PGT-SR) has been widely utilized to select euploid embryos in patients carrying balanced chromosomal rearrangements (BCRs) by chromosome copy number analysis. However, reliable and extensively validated PGT-SR methods for selecting embryos without BCRs in large-cohort studies are lacking.

Methods: In this prospective, multicenter, cohort study, carriers with BCRs undergoing PGT-SR were recruited across 12 academic fertility centers within China.

Exploring the impact of blood and bone debris at the implant-abutment interface on peak removal torque: Bridging clinical observations with laboratory evidence.

J Prosthet Dent

November 2024

Associate Professor, State Key Laboratory of Military Stomatology & National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases & Shaanxi Engineering Research Center for Dental Materials and Advanced Manufacture, Department of Implant Dentistry, School of Stomatology, The Air Force Medical University, Xi'an, PR China. Electronic address:

Statement Of Problem: Three months after implant placement, difficulty was encountered in unscrewing the healing abutment within the normal torque range (<35 Ncm), resulting in the removal of the implant. Despite all attempts, the implant could not then be separated from the healing abutment. Retrospective analysis of intraoperative photographs revealed the presence of blood or bone debris within the implant before the healing abutment was placed; this was considered to be the likely cause of this phenomenon.

Article Synopsis
  • Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a leading cause of cancer-related deaths, with a focus on understanding lactate metabolism and mitophagy in its progression.
  • The study identified two subtypes of LUAD, with one subtype showing worse survival rates and lower immune responses, and developed a risk score model based on six lactate-related genes.
  • Key gene OGDH was found to influence LUAD cell behavior, indicating that the proposed nomogram can effectively predict patient prognosis and could aid in developing targeted treatments.

Background: Normal tissue and immune organ protection are critical parts of the tumor radiation therapy process. Radiation-induced immune organ damage (RIOD) causes several side reactions by increasing oxidative stress and inflammatory responses, resulting in unsatisfactory curability in tumor radiation therapy. The aim of this study was to develop a novel and efficient anti irradiation nanoparticle and explore its mechanism of protecting splenic tissue from radiation in mice.
