The present study is to evaluate the anxiolytic-like activities underlying ginsenoside Rg3 (GRg3). The anxiolytic-like activities were induced by GRg3 (20 and 40 mg/kg, i.g), evidenced by blocking the decreased time and entries in the open arms in elevated plus maze test and by reversing the increased latency to feed in novelty-suppressed feeding test.

Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) expression has been found to be misregulated in multiple human cancers, and a growing number of studies have revealed that lncRNAs can function as important oncogenes or tumor suppressors. In this study, we identified a lncRNA-LINC00961, which was significantly down-regulated in human non-small cell lung cancer tissues. Decreased LINC00961 was associated with NSCLC patients advanced clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and shorter survival time.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common neoplasms, and metastasis is the most important feature for HCC-related deaths. Mounting evidence implies the dynamic regulatory role of SIRT2, a histone deacetylase, in cancer cells. Unfortunately, the role of SIRT2 and the antitumor activity of its inhibition are not known in HCC.

Extensive efforts have been undertaken in search of biomarkers for predicting the chemoradiotherapy response in rectal cancer. However, most attention on treatment efficiency prediction in carcinoma is addicted to single or limited molecules. Network biomarkers are considered to outperform single molecules in predictive power.

Histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) has an oncogenic role in apoptosis and contributes to the proliferation of cancer cells. MI192 is a novel HDAC3-specific inhibitor that displays antitumor activity in many cancer cell lines. However, the role of HDAC3 and the antitumor activity of its inhibitor MI192 are not known in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA).

Background: Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have emerged as critical regulators in a variety of human cancers, including gastric cancer (GC). However, the function and mechanisms responsible for these molecules in GC are not fully understood. In our previous study, we found that GC associated lncRNA HOXA11-AS is significantly upregulated in GC tissues.

Recently, a novel class of transcripts, long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), is being identified at a rapid pace. These RNAs have critical roles in diverse biological processes, including tumorigenesis. One of them, BLACAT1, a cancer-associated long noncoding RNA, exerts regulatory functions in various biological processes in cancer cells, however, the role of BLACAT1 in colon cancer remains unclear.

Background: Numerous studies have shown that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) behave as a novel class of transcript during multiple cancer processes, such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion. LINC00152 is located on chromosome 2p11.2, and has a transcript length of 828 nucleotides.

The chromosomal abnormality t(14;18)(q32;q21) is most commonly associated with germinal center-derived B-cell lymphomas, particularly follicular lymphoma (FL). Generally, it is considered a hallmark of FL. The t(14;18)(q32;q21) translocation is rare in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and its prognostic significance remains unclear.

We evaluated the clinical utility of 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT for staging and risk stratification of treatment-naïve prostate cancer (PCa) and metastatic castrate-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Twenty-two consecutive patients with treatment-naïve PCa and 18 with mCRPC were enrolled. 68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed for the evaluation of primary prostatic lesions, and bone scans were used for evaluation bone metastasis.

We performed an updated meta-analysis from 12 reports with 5021 patients to more accurately evaluate the prognostic value of LMR in DLBCL. Herein, we confirmed that patients with low LMR had shorter overall survival and progression-free survival than those with high LMR in DLBCL.

Background: Inflammation has been reported to be involved in carcinogenesis and cancer progression. This study was designed to explore the prognostic significance of lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in nonmetastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) patients after treatment.
Methods: The retrospective study consisted of 985 patients with ccRCC who had undergone nephrectomy from 2005 to 2010 at multiple centers.

The purpose of this article is to study the effect of ephedrine and phenylephrine on placental vascular resistance during cesarean section under epidural anesthesia via Doppler ultrasonography. Sixty female subjects, scheduled for elective cesarean section and had an intrathecal injection of bupivacaine, were randomly divided into two groups to receive phenylephrine (50 μg/min) or ephedrine (4 mg/min) via titration to maintain systolic blood pressure at baseline. Doppler ultrasonography was used to measure baseline vascular resistance values prior to administration of anesthesia, and resistance index (RI) and systolic peak velocity/diastolic velocity (S/D) values of umbilical artery and uterine artery were measured at each time point within first 20 min following intrathecal injection.

Background: Emerging evidences indicate that inflammation plays a crucial role in carcinogenesis and tumor progression. Inflammatory response biomarkers are recognized as promising prognostic factors for improving predictive accuracy in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). We aimed to evaluate the prognostic significance of preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), derived neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (dNLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP) in RCC.

Breast cancer is currently the most common malignancy affecting women worldwide. It had been shown that the allopregnanolone biosynthesis was associated with tumorigenesis and PK11195, the Translocator Protein 18 KDa (TSPO) antagonist, had the effects of the allopregnanolone biosynthesis. However, little is known about the association between the effects of PK11195 on the breast cancer and the allopregnanolone biosynthesis.
