The incidence of inflammatory diseases, including infections, autoimmune disorders, and tumors, is consistently increasing year by year, posing a significant and growing threat to human health on a global scale. Recent research has indicated that RNA acetylation modification, a specific type of post-transcriptional modification, may play a critical role in the pathogenesis of these diseases. Among the various mechanisms of RNA modification, N-acetyltransferase 10 (NAT10) has been identified as the sole cytidine acetyltransferase in eukaryotes.

N-butylphthalide (NBP) has been reported to have potential protective effects in ischemic stroke via its antioxidative properties. The present study was aimed to investigate the protective effects of NBP on ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)-induced skeletal muscle injury. Mouse model of I/R-induced skeletal muscle injury and hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)-induced C2C12 myotube injury model were constructed to test the protective effects of NBP both in vivo and in vitro.

To develop and validate a machine learning (ML) model which combined computed tomography (CT) semantic and radiomics features to preoperatively predict Ki-67 expression in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) patients. We retrospectively collected the clinical, imaging and pathological data of 149 GISTs patients. We randomly assigned the patients in a ratio of 7:3 to a training set (104 cases) and a validation (45 cases) set.

Aim: Diabetic Cardiomyopathy (DCM), a common complication of Type 2 Diabetic Mellitus (T2DM), has been emerging as one of the leading causes of mortality in T2DM patients. During the past decade, although, clinical studies concerning DCM are increasing at an exponential rate, mechanisms underlying this disease still can't be clearly defined. Here, we aim to recognize the function of Suv39h1 in DCM and to explore underlying mechanisms during this disease, providing new insights into DCM and novel guide for clinical therapy development.

Background: Breast cancer with lung metastases (BCLM) is a serious condition that often leads to early death. This study aims to screen the risk factors of early death in BCLM patients and establish a simple and accurate nomogram prediction model. Identifying prognostic markers and developing accurate prediction models can help guide clinical decision-making.

To examine the role of CITED2 in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) in a cell model and uncover the mechanism, hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) -stimulated H9C2 cell model was utilized as a MIRI cell model. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) as well as immunoblot assays were carried out to determine the expression of CITED2 in the MIRI cell model. MTT as well as lactate dehydrogenase assays were employed to detect the survival of H/R-stimulated H9C2 cells.

Background: Previous studies have reported associations between fatty acids and the risk of pre-eclampsia. However, the causality of these associations remains uncertain. This study postulates a causal relationship between specific plasma fatty acids and pre-eclampsia or other maternal hypertensive disorders (PE-HTPs).

Background: Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS) is widely acknowledged for detecting cytosolic chromatin fragments and triggering innate immune responses through the production of the second messenger cGAMP, which subsequently activates the adaptor protein STING. However, the role of cGAS in regulating metabolic reprogramming independently of STING activation has not yet been explored.
Methods: Gene set enrichment pathway analysis (GSEA) based on TCGA transcriptomics, combined with Seahorse metabolic analysis of CRC cell lines and human normal colonic mucosa cell line FHC, was performed to profile the metabolic features in CRC.

The regeneration of osteochondral defects is challenging due to the complex structure of the osteochondral unit. This study aimed to develop a biomimetic scaffold by loading growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) into poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles and incorporating them into polycaprolactone (PCL) scaffolds to promote synchronized osteochondral regeneration. The nanoparticles were successfully immobilized onto PCL scaffolds pre-modified with polydopamine (PDA) to enhance cell adhesion and proliferation.

The occurrence and development of depression are closely related to disorders of the brain and peripheral substances. Abnormal metabolites in the blood affect the signal regulation function of the nerve center, which is one of the key factors for depression episodes. This study was focused on metabolites in serum and the mechanism of its antidepressant in the hippocampus.
