To observe the effect of platelets on hematopoietic stem cell (HSCs) implantation in mice with radiation-induced bone marrow injury and bone marrow transplantation models. ①Male C57BL/6 mice were divided into a single irradiation group and a radiation infusion group after receiving (60)Co semimyeloablative irradiation for 18-10 weeks. The irradiation infusion group received 1×10(8) platelets expressing GFP fluorescent protein.

Background: The coaxial radiography-guided puncture technique (CR-PT) is a novel technique for endoscopic lumbar discectomy. As the X-ray beam and the puncturing needle are maintained in a parallel and coaxial direction, the X-ray beam can be used to guide the trajectory angle, facilitating the choice of the puncture site and providing real-time guidance. This puncture technique offers numerous advantages over the conventional anterior-posterior and lateral radiography-guided puncture technique (AP-PT), especially in cases of herniated lumbar discs with a hypertrophied transverse process or articular process, high iliac crest, and narrowed intervertebral foramen.

Background: Furmonertinib (AST2818) is an irreversible, selective, third-generation EGFR tyrosine-kinase inhibitor. We aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of furmonertinib versus the first-generation EGFR tyrosine-kinase inhibitor gefitinib as first-line treatment in patients with EGFR mutation-positive locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Methods: The FURLONG study is a multicentre, double-blind, randomised, phase 3 study done in 55 hospitals across mainland China.
Background: The NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain-containing 3 (NLRP3) -mediated neuroinflammation is linked to neuronal necroptosis in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury, especially in cerebral ischemic penumbra. This study was designed to investigate the regulation of nuclear factor E2-related factor-2 (Nrf2) on NLRP3 inflammasome in necroptosis signal pathway induced by I/R injury.
Methods: We investigated the mechanisms of Nrf2-negative regulation in necroptosis signaling pathway by using middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) with Q-VD-OPH injected intraperitoneally.

Introduction: Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers and pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) is recommended as the optimal operation for resectable pancreatic head cancer. Minimally invasive surgery, which initially emerged as hybrid-laparoscopy and recently developed into total laparoscopy surgery, has been widely used for various abdominal surgeries. However, controversy persists regarding whether laparoscopic PD (LPD) is inferior to open PD (OPD) for resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) treatment.

Objective: The aim of the present subgroup analysis of the FRESCO trial is to determine the efficacy and hepatotoxicity of fruquintinib in Chinese patients with metastatic CRC with liver metastasis (CRLM) who were receiving third-line or posterior-line therapy.
Methods: Overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were evaluated by Kaplan-Meier method. Hazard ratio (HR) was estimated through Cox proportional hazards model.

Chiglitazar (Carfloglitazar) is a novel non-thiazolidinedione (TZD) structured peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) pan-agonist that has shown promising effects on glycemic control and lipid regulation in patients with type 2 diabetes in previous clinical studies. This randomized phase 3 trial aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of chiglitazar with placebo in patients with type 2 diabetes with insufficient glycemic control by strict diet and exercise alone. Eligible patients were randomly assigned to receive chiglitazar 32 mg (n = 167), chiglitazar 48 mg (n = 166), or placebo (n = 202) once daily.

FRESCO study demonstrated efficacy and safety of fruquintinib in metastatic colorectal cancer patients. Impact of prior targeted therapy (PTT) on efficacy and safety of fruquintinib was evaluated. In this subgroup analysis of FRESCO trial, patients were divided into PTT and non-PTT subgroups, and efficacy and safety of fruquintinib were assessed, respectively.

However, its safety profile, including adverse events of special interest (AESIs) and treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) by age, sex, and body mass index (BMI), is not well known. The present analysis evaluated the safety profile and AESIs for fruquintinib in the FRESCO trial.

Background: Azilsartan medoxomil (AZL-M), an angiotensin II receptor blocker, has a well-characterized efficacy and safety profile in patients with hypertension. AZL-M is approved for use in over 40 countries globally; however, it is not yet approved in China. Therefore, a phase 3 registration study to assess the efficacy (antihypertensive effect), safety, and tolerability of AZL-M compared with valsartan in Chinese patients with essential hypertension was undertaken.

There is a need to develop a validated algorithm for plaque characterization which can help to facilitate the standardization of optical coherence tomography (OCT) image interpretation of plaque morphology, and improve the efficiency and accuracy in the application of OCT imaging for the quantitative assessment of plaque vulnerability. In this study, a machine learning algorithm was implemented for characterization of atherosclerotic plaque components by intravascular OCT using carotid plaque tissue samples. A total of 31 patients underwent carotid endarterectomy and the carotid plaques were imaged with OCT.

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the third leading malignancy engendering mortality among men globally. The present study aimed at determining the expression of hepatocellular carcinoma-related protein-1 (HCRP-1) in PCa, to explore its potential role in prostate tumorigenesis and . We evaluated HCRP-1 protein with immunohistochemistry (IHC) technology and found HCRP-1 expression was significantly low in PCa tissues (PCTs); In addition, the decreased HCRP-1 was significantly associated with TNM (tumor node metastasis) stage, advanced histology grade and gleason score.

An increasing number of microRNA (miRNA) have been demonstrated to serve as molecular biomarkers for tumor cell progression. miR‑512‑5p was revealed as oncogenic regulator in several types of cancer. However, whether and how miR‑512‑5p regulates non‑small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains unclear.

Objective: Studies of the impact of infant massage intervention on the growth of preterm infants have been conducted in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) and have demonstrated positive effects; however, few data exist regarding the effects of massage interventions by mothers on the growth of infants in the NICU. The purpose of this randomized controlled trial was to examine the effects of a 2-week massage intervention conducted by mothers on their preterm infants.
Methods: Of 112 stable preterm infants born at a gestational age (GA) between 32 and 34 weeks and enrolled from an affiliated hospital, 54 were randomly allocated to an intervention group, and 58 were allocated to a control group.

G protein-coupled receptor kinase 6 (GRK6) is highly expressed in multiple myeloma (MM) cell lines, but absent or only weakly expressed in most primary human somatic cells. In the present study, GRK6 expression was assessed in MM patients and healthy individuals by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Flow cytometry were performed to measure the apoptosis of lentivial-transfected MM1R cells.

Introduction: Glucocerebrosidase (GBA) mutations and leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2) variants are the most common genetic risk factors for late-onset Parkinson's disease (PD). In this study, we aimed to investigate the differences in pre-diagnostic symptoms of PD associated with the variants.
Methods: The participants were recruited from 24 centers across China and genotyped for LRRK2 G2385R and R1628P variants and GBA L444P mutation.
