The association between interleukins and osteoporosis has attracted much attention these days. However, the causal relationship between them is uncertain. Hence, this study performed a Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to investigate the causal effects of interleukins on osteoporosis.

Disparities of tumour markers in intraperitoneal drainage fluid between laparoscopic and open radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.

Introduction: Despite the remarkable progress in minimally invasive surgery, the potential association between laparoscopic gastrectomy and the risk of peritoneal metastasis remains uncertain.

Aim: To investigate variations in tumour markers in intraperitoneal drainage fluid between laparoscopic radical gastrectomy and open radical gastrectomy for gastric cancer.

Material And Methods: A total of 106 patients diagnosed with gastric cancer between July 2018 and November 2020 were included in this study, 45 of whom underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy (laparoscopic group) and 61 underwent open radical gastrectomy (open group).

[The Research Progress in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Intestinal Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma--Review].

Primary intestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PI-DLBCL) is clinically rare, but in recent years, with the gradual maturity of pathology and molecular biology technology, its incidence rate and diagnosis rate have also increased. Due to the lack of specificity of the clinical symptoms of PI-DLBCL, it is easy to misdiagnose and miss the diagnosis, and there is no consensus on the best treatment of PI-DLBCL in clinical practice. Therefore, by retrieving the latest literature at home and abroad, this review systematically discusses the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, treatment and prognosis of PI-DLBCL, in order to improve the understanding of rare PI-DLBCL in hematology and oncology, and provide reference for basic research and clinical diagnosis and treatment of PI-DLBCL.

"Internet Plus" continuous nursing for patients with advanced bladder cancer: A retrospective observational study.

The "Internet Plus" system has made continuous nursing intervention much more feasible to implement, especially in terms of malignant tumors. We aimed to evaluate continuous nursing based on "Internet Plus" for patients diagnosed with bladder cancer with hematuria being treated by drug-eluting bead embolization. This retrospective study included 43 patients, diagnosed with bladder cancer with hemorrhages, who had undergone transcatheter bladder arterial chemoembolization by drug-eluting bead embolization at our hospital between January 2017 and January 2023.

[Seroprevalence of the specific antibody against among patients with hematological diseases].

Objective: To investigate the seroprevalence of infections among patients with hematological diseases, so as to provide insights into improving the prognosis and quality of life among patients with hematological diseases.

Methods: A total of 240 patients with hematological diseases (including 170 patients with hematological tumors and 70 patients with non-tumor hematological diseases) admitted to The Affiliated Hospital of Putian University during the period from January 1, 2021 through October 10, 2023 and 500 healthy volunteers in the hospital during the same period were enrolled. Subjects' demographics and serum samples were collected, and serum specific IgG and IgM antibodies against were detected using the chemiluminescence assay, with any of a positive IgG or IgM antibody defined as a positive infection.

Textbook oncological outcomes and prognosis after curative gastrectomy in advanced gastric cancer: A multicenter study.

Background: The impact of achieving textbook oncological outcome (TOO) as a multimodal therapy quality indicator on the prognosis of advanced gastric cancer (AGC) remains inadequately assessed.

Methods: Patients with AGC who underwent curative gastrectomy between January 2010 and December 2017 at two East Asian medical centers were included. TOO was defined as achieving the textbook outcome (TO) and receiving neoadjuvant and/or adjuvant chemotherapy (NCT or ACT).

Objective: Acute lung injury (ALI) is the prevalent respiratory disease of acute inflammation with high morbidity and mortality. Fortunellin has anti-inflammation property, but its role in ALI remains elusive. Thus, this study clarified the function of fortunellin on ALI pathogenesis.

Characteristics of reproductive tract infections caused by common pathogens among the outpatients of reproductive medicine center in Putian: retrospective study.

Background: This study aims to explore the infection and age distribution of Ureaplasma urealyticum (UU), Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) and Herpes simplex virus type II (HSV II) among the outpatients of Reproductive Medicine Center in Putian, Fujian Province to provide a clinical basis for the early diagnosis and treatment of various reproductive tract diseases and infertility in this region.

Methods: A total of 1736 samples of secretions and exfoliated cervical cells were collected from the outpatients of the Reproductive Medicine Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University from December 2021 to April 2023. The infections of UU, CT, NG and HSVII were detected by real-time fluorescence polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and the infection statuses of the patients with different genders, ages and diagnoses were analysed.

Clinical analysis of hairy cell leukemia: the rare indolent hematological malignancy.

Objective: To analyze the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment and prognosis of the rare hairy cell leukemia (HCL), in order to provide new references for the clinical and basic research of HCL.

Methods: The clinical data of 17 patients with HCL admitted to Fujian Medical University Union Hospital, the Affiliated Hospital of Putian University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from January 1, 2016 to July 1, 2023 were collected and retrospectively studied, and the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment effects and prognosis of patients with HCL were analyzed. The Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis.

Prognostic value of inflammatory nutritional scores in locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy: a multicenter study in China.

Objective: This study investigates the prognostic significance of inflammatory nutritional scores in patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC) undergoing neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy.

Methods: A total of 190 LA-ESCC patients were recruited from three medical centers across China. Pre-treatment laboratory tests were utilized to calculate inflammatory nutritional scores.

Methods: Analyzing renal clear cell carcinoma datasets from TISCH, TCGA, and GEO, we focused on 8 prognostic Treg genes to study patient subtypes in ccRCC. We assessed Treg subtypes in relation to patient prognosis, tumor microenvironment, metabolism.

Efficacy of transcatheter arterial embolization in treating nonvariceal gastric remnant bleeding: a retrospective 5-year study.

Background: Gastric remnant bleeding is a special case of upper gastrointestinal bleeding with certain specific disease characteristics, and some matters of transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) for hemostasis need attention. In this study, we aimed to explore the clinical use of TAE in patients with nonvariceal gastric remnant bleeding and identify the factors influencing the clinical efficacy of these interventions.

Methods: Data were retrospectively analyzed from 42 patients for whom angiography and embolization were performed but could not be treated endoscopically or had failed endoscopic management in our department between January 2018 and January 2023 due to nonvariceal gastric remnant bleeding.

S100A8 is a prognostic signature and associated with immune response in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

LPS can be involved in the weakened osteoblast formation as an autophagy regulator, and osteoblasts and their precursors are the source cells for RANKL production.

Prospective evidence regarding the combination of programmed cell death (PD)-1 and angiogenesis inhibitors in treating locally advanced gastric cancer (LAGC) is limited. In this multicenter, randomized, phase 2 trial (NCT04195828), patients with gastric adenocarcinoma (clinical T2-4N + M0) were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive neoadjuvant camrelizumab and apatinib combined with nab-paclitaxel plus S-1 (CA-SAP) or chemotherapy SAP alone (SAP) for 3 cycles. The primary endpoint was the major pathological response (MPR), defined as <10% residual tumor cells in resection specimens.

Natural product, songorine (SGR), a diterpenoid alkaloid derived from the lateral root of Aconitum carmichaeli, has been reported for the treatment of heart failure. Here, the protective role of SGR in heart injury of SCM was investigated and its underlying action of mechanism was explored.

Background: Transcatheter bladder arterial chemoembolization (TACE) is an alternative treatment used to control bladder cancer (BC) with bleeding, especially in older adult patients with comorbidities. This retrospective observational study evaluated the effect and prognostic factors of transcatheter drug-eluting bead (DEB) embolization in patients with advanced BC.

Methods: We assessed 39 patients diagnosed with BC with hemorrhage who were either inoperable or unwilling to undergo surgery at our hospital between January 2018 and October 2022.
