MicroRNA-206 (miR-206) is known to regulate cell proliferation and migration and is involved in various types of cancer. However, the role of miR-206 in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HHC) has not been previously reported. In the present study, the expression of Notch3 in HCC and adjacent non-neoplastic tissue was immunohistochemically assessed on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of moxibustion of different acupoints undergoing heat-sensitive state and resting state in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) patients.
Methods: A total of 60 cases of KOA patients were enrolled in the present trial. They were divided into heat-sensitive moxibustion (heat-sensitive) group and non-sensitive moxibustion group (resting group).

Objective: To observe the effects of different quantity of moxibustion of "Dazhui" (GV 14)on the levels of serum interleukin-4 (IL-4), interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma), and immunoglobulin E (IgE) in asthma rats, so as to reveal its mechanisms underlying immune regulation.
Methods: Sixty male SD rats were randomly divided into control, model, moxibustion-15 min (M-15 min), M-30 min, M-60 min, and M-120 min groups (10 rats/group). Asthma model was established by intraperitoneal injection of sensitized-suspension (containing egg albumin, aluminium hydroxide, and deactivated Bacillus pertussis) and ovalbumin-aerosol inhalation.

When moxibustion is applied to a certain acupoint in the patient, a regional heat sensitive reaction may be found. In the present paper, the authors expound its conception and appearing regularities, its relationship with the "arrival of qi" of Chinese medicine, and its clinical application in guiding acupoint selection and heat-stimulation quantity. Heat sensitive reaction during moxibustion ("heat sensitive moxibustion") is frequently seen in people undergoing pathological conditions and correlates highly with the diseases.
