Background: Infection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) affects multiple organs throughout the body, which puts chemotherapy patients at even greater risk. This study aims to identify the clinical characteristics of gynecological cancer patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 during chemotherapy.
Methods: Gynecological cancer patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 during chemotherapy from August 1, 2022, to January 31, 2023, were enrolled in this observational cohort study.

Endothelial dysfunction, a central hallmark of cardiovascular pathogenesis in diabetes mellitus, is characterized by impaired endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) and NO bioavailability. However, the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Here in this study, we aimed to identify the role of calmodulin (CaM) in diabetic eNOS dysfunction.

High cervical spinal cord stimulation (HCSCS) was found to have therapeutic effects on Parkinsonian gait disturbance. However, the results were inconsistent and confounded with symptoms of pain. This study aimed to reveal the gait and dysarthric effects of HCSCS in PD (Parkinson's disease) and MSA-P (Parkinson variant of multiple system atrophy) patients without pain.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has an aggressive phenotype and a poor outcome. The discovery that dysregulated microRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in tumor progression has led to the suggestion that miRNAs (miRs) could be a potential target for the treatment of TNBC. In the present study, it was demonstrated that miR-598 expression was significantly decreased in TNBC tissues and was related to the degree of lymph node metastasis of patients with TNBC.

Aims/background: Ovariectomy (OVX)-induced murine model is widely used for postmenopausal osteoporosis study. Our current study was conducted to systematically review and essentially quantified the bone mass enhancing effect of puerarin on treating OVX-induced postmenopausal osteoporosis in murine model.
Methods: Literatures from PUBMED, EMBASE, and CNKI were involved in our searching strategy by limited the inception date to January 9th, 2019.

Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is one of the most aggressive types of breast cancer and has a poor prognosis. Therefore, the development of novel drugs and understanding the molecular mechanisms that may contribute to the initiation and development of TNBC are urgently required. Chidamide, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, has been reported as possessing anti‑cancer properties in several cancers, however, the function of chidamide in TNBC remains to be elucidated.

Stroke is a major cause of poor health and has numerous complications. Tai Chi (TC) may have positive effects on the rehabilitation of stroke survivors, but recent clinical findings have not been included in previously published reviews. We conducted this systematic review and meta-analysis to determine the effectiveness of all types of TC vs.

Increasing evidence showed that microRNAs (miRNAs) were abnormally expressed in cancers and made effects on the tumorigenesis. Aberrant expression of miR-20a-5p has been reported in human breast carcinoma. However, the functional mechanism of miR-20a-5p in human breast carcinoma, particularly in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), required further investigations.

This study aims to explore the roles of miR-142/PD-L1 axis in cecal ligation and puncture (CLP)-induced inflammation and the survival in septic mice. Here, miR-142 was found to be decreased in sepsis patients. And miR-142 was decreased but PD-L1 was increased in CLP-treated mice macrophages in a time-dependent manner.

Objectives: This study aims to report mid-term follow-up outcomes of a series of TAAD patients treated with TEVAR in China.
Background: Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) has been used to treat type A aortic dissection (TAAD) for years. However, by comparing public reports, their outcomes which were based on different sample sizes show inconsistency.

Endobiliary radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has recently been recognized as a beneficial treatment option for malignant biliary obstruction using percutaneous or endoscopic approaches. The feasibility and safety of this method has been demonstrated in clinical studies, with pain, cholangitis and asymptomatic biochemical pancreatitis reported as relatively common complications. By contrast, hepatic coma, newly diagnosed left bundle branch block and partial liver infarction have been reported as uncommon complications.

Aim: The aim of this study was to explore the correlation between genetic mutations in matrix metalloproteinase-10 (MMP-10) and susceptibility to pelvic organ prolapse (POP).
Material And Methods: From September 2011 to December 2013, 263 subjects were recruited, including 91 patients with POP (case group) and 172 non-POP patients (control group). Total MMP-10 concentrations in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography with endoscopic sphincterotomy is a well-established procedure for the treatment of bile duct strictures. However, the procedure is difficult to perform in patients with intradiverticular papillae or tumor infiltration of the major papilla. Percutaneous transhepatic biliary stenting (PTBS) is commonly used in the management of malignant biliary stricture.
