Background: Compared with intravascular ultrasound guidance, there is limited evidence for optical coherence tomography (OCT) guidance during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients.
Aims: We investigated the role of OCT in guiding a reperfusion strategy and improving the long-term prognosis of STEMI patients.
Methods: All patients who were diagnosed with STEMI and who underwent pPCI between January 2017 and December 2020 were enrolled and divided into OCT-guided versus angiography-guided cohorts.

Background And Aim: 3D fusion model of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and oral scanned data can be used for the accurate design of root canal access and guide plates in root canal therapy (RCT). However, the pose accuracy of the dental pulp and crown in data registration has not been investigated, which affects the precise implementation of clinical planning goals. We aimed to establish a novel registration method based on pulp horn mapping surface (PHMSR), to evaluate the accuracy of PHMSR versus traditional methods for crown-pulp registration of CBCT and oral scan data.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a chronic liver disease that progresses from hepatic steatosis to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver cancer, posing a huge burden on human health. Existing research has confirmed that forkhead box O1 (FOXO1), as a member of the FOXO transcription factor family, is upregulated in MAFLD. Its activity is closely related to nuclear-cytoplasmic shuttling and various post-translational modifications including phosphorylation, acetylation, and methylation.

SLC30A5, a member of the solute transporter protein family, is implicated in tumorigenesis and cancer progression. This study aimed to explore the expression and prognostic significance of SLC30A family genes in pan-cancer, with a specific emphasis on SLC30A5 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Expression patterns and prognostic implications of SLC30A family genes were assessed across 33 cancer types, especially HCC.

Introduction: Gynecological diseases ranked second among new cases of noncommunicable diseases in women of reproductive age in 1990 and 2019 globally. The aim of this study was to estimate the disease burden of gynecological diseases and describe their trends in women of all ages from 1990 to 2019.
Methods: Using data from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries and Risk Factors Study (GBD 2019), authors examined the incidence, disability-adjusted life years, and deaths from gynecological diseases by age in 204 countries and territories worldwide from 1990 to 2019.

To uncover the effect of danshensu on irbesartan pharmacokinetics and its underlying mechanisms. To investigate the effect of danshensu on the pharmacokinetics of irbesartan, Sprague-Dawley rats ( = 6) were orally administered 30 mg/kg irbesartan alone (control group) or pre-treated with 160 mg/kg danshensu (experimental group). The effect of danshensu on the metabolic stability of irbesartan in RLMs was examined by LC-MS/MS method.

Purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a highly heterogeneous malignancy with an unfavorable prognosis. The purpose of this study was to address the heterogeneity of CRC by categorizing it into ion channel subtypes, and to develop a predictive modeling based on ion channel genes to predict the survival and immunological states of patients with CRC. The model will provide guidance for personalized immunotherapy and drug treatment.

Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is a malignancy with an extremely poor prognosis, and much remains unknown about its pathogenesis and treatment modalities. Circular RNA (circRNA) has been proven to play regulatory roles in various tumorigenesis, yet its potential function and mechanism in cholangiocarcinoma require further investigation. This study is the first to identify the aberrant expression and functional role of a novel circRNA, circ_0007534, derived from the DDX42 gene, in cholangiocarcinoma.

Double minutes (DMs), extrachromosomal gene fragments found within certain tumors, have been noted to carry onco- and drug resistance genes contributing to tumor pathogenesis and progression. After screening for SUMO-related molecule expression within various tumor sample and cell line databases, we found that SUMO-conjugating enzyme UBC9 has been associated with genome instability and tumor cell DM counts, which was confirmed both and . Karyotyping determined DM counts post-UBC9 knockdown or SUMOylation inhibitor 2-D08, while RT-qPCR and Western blot were used to measure DM-carried gene expression .

Purpose: A previous real-world study conducted in China confirmed that first-line atezolizumab, in combination with etoposide/platinum (EP), leads to significantly longer progression-free survival (PFS) compared to EP alone in patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC). The present study aimed to provide updated survival outcome data and evaluate the clinical efficacy of atezolizumab plus chemotherapy in ES-SCLC patients with brain metastasis (BM).
Methods: This retrospective study included 225 patients with ES-SCLC who were treated with EP alone (EP group) or a combination of EP + atezolizumab (atezolizumab group).

This study thoroughly investigated the role of the long non-coding RNA LOXL1-AS1 in the pathogenesis of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). Through bioinformatics analysis and tissue samples validation, the study found that LOXL1-AS1 was significantly elevated in CCA, with its high expression closely tied to clinical pathological features and prognosis. In vitro and in vivo experiments revealed that LOXL1-AS1 was crucial in regulating CCA cell apoptosis, proliferation, migration, and invasion.
