Objective: To explore the effects of miR-494 inhibition through the NF-κB signaling pathway on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) mouse model.

Methods: The AKI mice induced by LPS were treated with miR-494 antagomir, and the kidney parameters and indicators of oxidative stress were detected. HE and TUNEL staining were performed to observe the kidney histopathology and the apoptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells (RTECs), respectively.

Inhibition of JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway protects mice from the DDP-induced acute kidney injury in lung cancer.

Inflamm Res

September 2019

Department of Clinical Laboratory, Cangzhou Central Hospital, No. 16, Xinhua Western Road, Cangzhou, 3061001, Hebei, China.

Objective: To explore AG490 (the inhibitor of Janus kinase (JAK) 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) 3 pathway) in cisplatin (DDP)-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) in mice with lung cancer.

Methods: Mice were randomly divided into normal, model, AG490, DDP and DDP + AG490 groups. The lung cancer models were established except for Normal group.

Objective: To observe the heart protective effect of exercise preconditioning (EP) in the acute exhaustion exercise (EE) rats, and explore its action mechanism further.

Methods: Eighty healthy male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into control group (C group), EP group, EE group, and EP+EE group randomly, with 20 rats in each group. The rats in EP and EP+EE groups were trained for 3 weeks according to the daily swimming for 60 minutes (swimming 15 minutes, resting 5 minutes, repeating 3 times) with 6 days each week.

Pharmacological interventions for melanoma: Comparative analysis using bayesian meta-analysis.

Oncotarget

December 2016

Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Xijing Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University, Xi'an, 710032, China.

We conducted a network meta-analysis in order to compare different strategies for managing melanoma patients. Electronic databases were searched for eligible randomized trials that compared different strategies in efficacy and tolerability. Five interventions were associated with a significant improvement in PFS over chemotherapy (all HR < 1): Ipilimumab, Tremelimumab, Nivolumab, Pembrolizumab 2 mg/kg and Ipilimumab + Nivolumab.

Methods To investigate the safety and clinical significance of the method described in this study, we focused on 16 peritoneal dialysis patients with peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheter malposition and blockage in whom nonsurgical reposition was ineffective, who received a local incision about 5 cm below hypogastrium PD catheter insertions under local anesthesia. Tissues were separated layer by layer, 1-cm incisions were performed on the peritoneum vertically and conventionally, and then the PD catheters were pulled. Adherent mesentery was separated and the PD catheters were freed and removed sufficiently.

Management and maintenance of the airway in cervical necrotising fasciitis: a retrospective analysis of 15 cases.

Br J Oral Maxillofac Surg

September 2015

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The 252nd Hospital of PLA, Baoding, People's Republic of China.

Cervical necrotising fasciitis is a progressive deep infection of the neck associated with high mortality, and skillful management of the airway is critical for operations under general anaesthesia. Tracheostomy under local anaesthesia has been considered the gold standard of airway management in patients with deep neck infections, but it may be difficult or impossible in advanced cases. We report here our experience over 6 years (January 2008 and December 2013) during which a total of 15 patients was diagnosed with cervical necrotising fasciitis.

Transoral negative-pressure catheter drainage of a retropharyngeal and mediastinal abscess.

Am J Otolaryngol

December 2014

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The 252nd Hospital of PLA, Baoding, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: A retropharyngeal abscess (RPA) is an extremely rare entity in adults that has a tendency to spread vertically and cause a mediastinal abscess. Traditionally, immediate aggressive drainage is recommended via a transcervical or transthoracic approach for the treatment of a retropharyngeal abscess with mediastinal extension. Here, we present a case of a retropharyngeal and mediastinal abscess using a transoral negative-pressure catheter drainage approach.
