Healthcare initiatives focused on chronic conditions are strongly needed to consider various aspects of gamification and how it can positively affect self-management.

Therapeutic Potential of Agmatine in Essential Tremor Through Regulation of Lingo-1 and Inflammatory Pathways.

Purpose: Essential tremor (ET) is a prevalent movement disorder, yet current therapeutic options remain limited. Emerging evidence implicates leucine-rich repeat and immunoglobulin-like domain-containing protein (Lingo-1) and neuroinflammation in the pathophysiology of ET. This study aimed to investigate whether agmatine, a biogenic amine neuromodulator attenuates tremors and modulates the expression of Lingo-1 and proinflammatory markers in a rodent model of ET.

Identification and Characterization of Acanthamoeba from Contact Lens Care Solutions and Hospital Environments in the Ophthalmology Wards and Operating Rooms in Southeastern Iran.

Objective: Different Acanthamoeba species are among the most ubiquitous organisms causing serious diseases in humans including central nervous system (CNS) and eye infections. Contact lenses, lens care solutions and the hospital environments particularly the indoor and outdoor environments of ophthalmology wards where people are present with different types of eye diseases, are the potential sources of human infection. The purpose of the present study was the molecular investigation of free-living amoebae in the used contact lenses, lens care solutions and hospital samples from the ophthalmology wards and operating rooms in a referral hospital in southeastern Iran.

Objective: People living with HIV (PLHIV) often face increased vulnerability due to factors like social isolation and reduced resilience. These factors can negatively impact health outcomes, quality of life, and well-being for both PLHIV and their families. Academic burnout and its related factors among dental students in southeast Iran: a cross-sectional study.

Background And Aim: Academic burnout in students manifests as emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a sense of stagnation in their education. Given the high prevalence of occupational burnout among dental students, screening dental students for early signs of burnout can facilitate intervention and prevent negative effects on their physical and mental well-being.
