The health damage caused by passive smoking is well known in closed public spaces such as workplaces, inside homes and restaurants. However, at present, the number of smokers in open public spaces such as terraces has increased and consequently a loss of the quality of the air breathed, increasing the concentration of particles and other contaminating agents, affecting the health of workers and customers, of these spaces. Multiple studies show that high exposure to tobacco smoke in these environments augments the risk of developing cardiorespiratory diseases, especially in the vulnerable population, but also respiratory infections.

Coblator adenoidectomy in pediatric patients: a state-of-the-art review.

Introduction: Adenoid hypertrophy is one of the main causes of nasal obstruction in 'children. Adenoid hypertrophy can be approached either with nasal corticosteroids, or surgically when medical treatment fails. Different adenoidectomy techniques have been proposed to reduce morbidity and surgical risks, with a consequent marked increase in the use of new surgical procedures in recent years, with a progressive increase in the use of coblation.

Characteristics and outcomes of advanced melanoma patients with complete response and elective discontinuation of first-line anti-programmed death-1 monotherapy: A real-world multicentre observational cohort study.

Anti-programmed death-1 (anti-PD1) treatment has significantly improved outcomes of advanced melanoma with a considerable percentage of patients achieving complete response (CR). This real-world study analyzed the feasibility of elective anti-PD1 discontinuation in advanced melanoma patients with CR and evaluated factors related to sustained response. Thirty-five patients with advanced cutaneous or primary unknown melanoma with CR to nivolumab or pembrolizumab from 11 centers were included.

Optimal cytoreduction: is a CT's picture worth a surgeon's word?

Introduction: The presence of residual disease after cytoreductive surgery is subjectively determined by the surgeon at the end of the operation. Nevertheless, in up to 21-49% of CT scans, residual disease can be found. The aim of this study was to establish the relationship between post-surgical CT findings after optimal cytoreduction in patients with advanced ovarian cancer and oncological outcome.

However, these products are addictive and not safe as they contain nicotine. Harm reduction is a false solution as it represents a commercial strategy of the tobacco industry to increase its sales, making it difficult to control smoking, since it keeps smokers from consuming tobacco and prevents them from making serious attempts to quit.

We present a case of gallbladder carcinoma diagnosed after emergency cholecystectomy, performed due to hemobilia and acute cholecystitis due to hemocholecyst.
