Background: Gallbladder cancer diagnosis is usually at a later stage. Only 1% of gallbladder cancers are discovered fortuitously at infra-clinic stage when histological exam of cholecystectomy specimen. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy was realised for gallbladder lithiasis or polyps.

[Cor triatriatum: of six operated patients report].

Six cases of cortriatriatum operated between January 1990 and April 2004. Their ages ranged from 3 months to 22 years. Associated lesions are present in 4 patients.

[Renal amyloidosis complicating Crohn's disease: report of two cases and review of literature].

Secondary amyloidosis is caused by the extracellular store of the fragment AA of the circulatory protein in serum amyloid-A. It can complicate diseases such as family mediterranean fever, rheumatoid arthritis or Crohn's disease. Renal amyloidosis is a rare but serious complication of Crohn's disease.

[Reversible peripheral neuropathy induced by vitamin B12 deficiency].

Objective: To describe an electroclinical presentation of a peripheral neuropathy in a patient who suffered from vitamin B12 deficiency.

Patient And Methods: We report the case of a 56-year-old man who, 17 years after a subtotal gastrectomy, presented with a diffuse sensory-motor demyelinating peripheral neuropathy with multifocal alteration of conduction confirmed by electromyography. Its causal relationship with vitamin B12 deficiency was biologically demonstrated.

[Importance of vaccination chronic hepatitis B].

Weak therapeutic responses and weak immune cytotoxic CD8 and CD4 response in chronic hepatitis B emphasize the necessity to find new therapeutic strategies especially as specific immunotherapy. Vaccination, whose principle was to widen immune repertoire, was used as a curative treatment of chronic hepatitis B. It would be the therapeutic procedure with the lowest cost and the potentially greatest benefit.

Predictive factors of glucocorticosteroid treatment failure in severe acute idiopathic colitis.

Introduction: The purpose of our study was to determine clinical, biological or endoscopic factors that could predict glucocorticosteroid treatment failure in acute colitis.

Patients And Methods: Fifty-four Tunisian Caucasian patients with acute idiopathic colitis (ulcerative colitis in 53 patients, Crohn's colitis in 1 patient) have been evaluated. Non-therapeutic response was defined as over 6 bowel movements per day, blood visible to the naked eye in stools on the fifth day after admission or the development of a complication inducing a resort to surgery.

[Biological markers of hepatocellular carcinoma].

Hydatic cysts of the liver can rupture into the thorax. The aim of this work was to demonstrate how abdominal access can be used in most cases. We report 44 cases of hydatic cysts which ruptured into the thorax among a series of 1411 hydatic cysts of the liver operated between 1974 and 1995.
