In this work, we utilized the proteolysis targeting chimera (PROTAC) technology to achieve the chemical knock-down of histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6). Two series of cereblon-recruiting PROTACs were synthesized via a solid-phase parallel synthesis approach, which allowed the rapid preparation of two HDAC6 degrader mini libraries. The PROTACs were either based on an unselective vorinostat-like HDAC ligand or derived from a selective HDAC6 inhibitor.

Unlabelled: Cancer represents the second leading cause of death worldwide, implementing a major health care and socioeconomic burden. Overweight and obesity, both of which are dramatically on the rise in both highly and less developed regions worldwide, have been established as modifiable risk factors for the development of various tumor entities including gastrointestinal (GI) cancers such as colorectal or gastric cancer. However, systematic data on an association between excessive body fat and GI cancer development from Germany are missing.

A characteristic feature of the mycoplasmas is the presence of variable surface proteins which may play an important role in the adaptation of the cell-wall-less organisms to their host environments. In addition, this antigen variation may be an important pathogenic property of the organism. The ubiquity of the gene encoding P50, an adhesin of Mycoplasma hominis FBG, and its transcription were analysed in different isolates of M.
