Background: It is unknown which maintenance therapy is the most effective option for patients admitted for an acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) episode responding to intravenous steroids.

Methods: We conducted a multicentre, parallel-group, open-label randomised controlled trial among 23 French centres in thiopurine and biologics-naïve adults admitted for ASUC responding to intravenous steroids. Eligible patients were randomly assigned to receive infliximab (IFX) and azathioprine (AZA) with a 7-day steroid tapering scheme (IFX+AZA arm) or AZA and conventional standardised steroid tapering regimen (AZA arm).

Background: Nutrition is largely affected in bipolar disorder (BD), however, there is a lack of understanding on the relationship between dietary categories, BD, and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome. FMS-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand (FLT3L), encoded by FLT3LG, is a hematopoietic factor essential for the development of natural killer (NK) cells, B cells, and dendritic cells (DCs) in mice. We describe three humans homozygous for a loss-of-function FLT3LG variant with a history of various recurrent infections, including severe cutaneous warts. The patients' bone marrow (BM) was hypoplastic, with low levels of hematopoietic progenitors, particularly myeloid and B cell precursors.

Methods: Data from women with histologically proven FIGO stage IB2 cervical cancer treated between April 1996 and December 2016 were retrospectively abstracted from twelve French institutions with prospectively maintained databases.

Results: Of the 211 patients with FIGO stage IB2 cervical cancer without lymph node involvement included, 136 had surgical treatment only and 75 had pelvic lymph node staging and brachytherapy followed by surgery.
