Allogenic demineralized bone matrix (DBM) is widely used for bone repair and regeneration due to its osteoinductivity and osteoconductivity. The present study utilized acellular dermis microfibers to improve the DBM's clinical handling properties and to enhance bone regeneration. Donated human cadaver skin was de-epidermized and decellularized to be acellular dermal matrix (ADM), which was further processed into microfibers.

Background: This study explores the potential of the deep learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) to automatically recognize MMD using MRA images from atherosclerotic disease (ASD) and normal control (NC).
Methods: In this retrospective study in China, 600 participants (200 MMD, 200 ASD and 200 NC) were collected from one institution as an internal dataset for training and 60 from another institution were collected as external testing set for validation. All participants were divided into training (N = 450) and validation sets (N = 90), internal testing set (N = 60), and external testing set (N = 60).

Methods: The study used genome-wide association study datasets for exposure and outcome, mainly derived from the UK Biobank and CKDGen Consortium, with sample sizes ranging from 3,310 to 480,699 individuals of European ancestry.

Methods: This study investigated the preparation, antimicrobial properties, and osteogenesis-promoting ability of the 3D printed porous Ti alloy anodic oxidized Ag-carrying (Ag@3D-TiO) scaffolds. The 3D printed porous Ti alloy (3D-Ti), anodized 3D printed porous Ti alloy (3D-TiO), and Ag@3D-TiO scaffolds were synthesized using electron beam melting.

Purpose: To investigate the alterations in extraocular muscles (EOMs) by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) among patients diagnosed with Duane retraction yndrome (DRS) and congenital fibrosis of the extraocular muscles (CFEOM), who present with various cranial nerve anomalies in an attempt to enhance the clinical diagnostic process.
Methods: A case-control study was conducted to evaluate 27 patients with DRS and 14 patients with CFEOM. All patients underwent MRI scans of the brainstem and orbital examination.

Previous studies have shown that the left hemisphere dominates motor function, often observed through homotopic activation measurements. Using a functional connectivity approach, this study investigated the lateralization of the sensorimotor cortex during handwriting and drawing, two complex visuomotor tasks with varying contextual demands. We found that both left- and right-lateralized connectivity in the primary motor cortex (M1), dorsal premotor cortex (PMd), somatosensory cortex, and visual regions were evident in adults (males and females), primarily in an interhemispheric integrative fashion.
