In preterm infants, early nutrient intake during the first week of life often depends on parenteral nutrition. This study aimed to evaluate the influence of standardized parenteral nutrition using three-in-one double-chamber solutions (3-in-1 STD-PN) on early neonatal growth in a cohort of moderately preterm (MP) infants. This population-based, observational cohort study included preterm infants admitted to neonatal centers in the southeast regional perinatal network in France.

Data on neonatal morbidity and nutrition intake on day of life 7 (DoL7) were prospectively collected from 735 MP infants (32-34 weeks gestational age (GA)). Multivariable regression was used to assess the factors associated with extrauterine growth restriction (EUGR) defined as a decrease of more than 1 standard deviation () in the weight -score during hospitalization.

Pericarditis is an uncommon pathology that represents 0.1% of patients hospitalized for chest pain with a wide etiological spectrum and whose cause is uncommonly highlighted. In order to determine the incidence of specific acute microbiological or autoimmune pericarditis and identify subsets of patients with a higher incidence of specific etiologies; and analyze the conformity of the management of acute pericarditis according to the recommendations, a retrospective inclusion of all patients admitted to our hospital from January 2010 to December 2018 with the diagnosis of acute pericarditis was conducted.

Single-cell microfluidics is a powerful method to study bacteria and determine their susceptibility to antibiotic treatment. Glass treatment by adhesive molecules is a potential solution to immobilize bacterial cells and perform microscopy, but traditional cationic polymers such as polylysine deeply affect bacterial physiology. In this work, we chemically characterized a class of chitosan polymers for their biocompatibility when adsorbed to glass.
